Here is a list of big disappointments by the NDP:

1. Deposits and recycling fees on milk containers. Milk is essential for good health, and the NDP tax it. Recycling fee is a tax imposed by government. I have refused to recycle anything since 1 Feb 2022 as retaliation to the NDP. Everything nows goes to landfill.
2. Bag fees if a customer needs a bag for essential groceries. Paper bags can be recycled and makes no sense to have a fee on them. They should be free. Some stores owned by Loblaw's still refuse to offer paper bags. $2 for a bag is too expensive. Reusable bags used to cost .35 cents each and now cost $2.
3. The NDP refuse to bring back BC Rail. Yes, the BC Liberals got rid of it, but the NDP could bring it back. The government still owns the track and land. The track is just sitting there unused. CN rarely use the track. We should just take it back and put it to public use. All you have to do is buy a few sets of new trains. Amtrak cascades are getting new trains in 2026. This route operates from Vancouver.
4. Banning gas cars in 2035. Electric cars are still too expensive. Since the NDP still refuse to bring back BC rail, people need cars to get around the big province that is bigger than many countries. Now they get rid of the rebates on electric cars because they do not want Tesla to benefit from it. Tesla is a green company.
5. Bowinn is in a rush to push through bill 15 to give more powers to approve projects and ignore local governments. Everyone is opposed to this and Bowinn is ignoring people.
What are you going to do about this?

I came into the office looking for some support, and both of Bowinn’s staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They took the time to help me find the information I needed. I think this also reflects on how Bowinn is as an MLA - always helpful, kind, and charismatic. Thank you!

It is very rare that any MLA cares enough about his/her community the way Bowinn does! Although she doesn’t have the power to change every issue we face, she is one of the MLA’s that stops and listens and does everything she can as a voice in her riding!

The idea of a make-your-own-pin at the Canada Day Celebration is fantastic. However, the gentleman you hired who might be your campaign manager (the man in a straw hat, floral shirt today) is doing a great job making you look really bad by being a mean mean old man to the community. The message he was communicating towards the end could have been something along the lines of “I am so sorry, I wish we can keep making pins with everyone but our time is up and we hope to see everyone soon!” But instead, we all heard exactly “well no we are not doing anymore pins, I have already said we are wrapping up 5 minutes ago so if you don’t have of these buttons, we are not making a pin for you”. My son didn’t hear the original message, many minutes ago, we showed up after that. He had a pin in his hand and a design drafted in his 4 year old head. He didn’t finish and was instead asked to leave because your team had to wrap up. The man giving out the message was rude and clearly wanting to clock out. The community outreach part appeared that your team wanted to set up a tent and and leave just in time for happy hour. The job you signed up for, from what I’ve observed from successful politicians shouldn’t have set hours. It happily serves the community from its oldest to youngest of citizens (whether they can vote or not). My son and I are disappointed and will clearly think twice before endorsing your pin.

Not to mention the majority of the people at your booth today are children. This reflects extreme poorly on you. I thought politicians use these types of events to shake as many hands and befriend as many people as possible? He just wanted us out so he can go home.

So we went home with a piece of paper instead of a pin because of him.

Bowinn is one of the hardest working, most compassionate and future forward MLAs going. The exceedingly competent staff at her constituency office will help find answers or point you in the right direction (if not a provincial matter). 5+ stars!

Bowinn is one of the only politicians I've ever felt I could trust. She really seems to care about the issues on her platform, and the issues of that of the NDP. She's forthright, direct, honest, and caring.

To the people leaving 1-star reviews:
Just because she doesn't champion the issues you individually care about, doesn't mean she's dishonest, or is "one of the bad ones".

I read a lot of good things about you and I wish you well in the election. I'm from Ontario and I read about how Jane Thornthwaite treated you and that was unacceptable and how the Liberal party leader didn't call out her comments is unacceptable.

Just remember your awesome and I hope you win this election! 🙂 Good luck to you.
