The news Ucluelet was to have a local lawyer was viewed most favorably by the local community, as before CR Lawyers opened on October 2023 on Peninsula, residents had to travel to Port Alberni, circa 1 1/2 hours away. As many may know, lawyers can vary in quality. On meeting CR Lawyers’, Craig Stewart, I felt confident he had the intelligence & community engagement to be a welcome addition. Stewart has contributed to two fundraisers, & in conversations one gets the impression he will be a good citizen, providing good & needed legal resources to the community. He has a back-up team with support from a legal assistant & lawyers in other CR law offices, who visit the Ucluelet office, & on whom he can draw when he needs to. He says he is in daily communication with them. As Stewart says, the four-office firm has a “big brain” The website builds confidence, noting a commitment to quality & to fair fees.
