Another jam packed second hand store in Oliver to check out. You will find all sorts of items there, all electronics are tested, everything is clean and well sorted. The volunteers are very helpful. Due to COVID-19 this store will be closing for the next 2 weeks (effective Nov. 20, 2020 - see sign in photo).

Great place to browse and accessorize your home or toolshed. A true treasure chest of items given a second chance useful for people needing a second chance or hunting for a good bargain. The best of all is that it is run by tireless volunteers, all items are donated and proceeds go to a good cause. What's not to like?

I will personally never donate to them again as the experience was not only convoluted, but they also tried to charge me to get rid of perfectly good beds and a love seat that just needed a quick vacuum due to dog hair. They also refused to take items that "nobody wants anymore" (e.g. filing cabinet that locks) despite the fact that I originally bought those same items from them last spring.

Just let market
As I was approaching my car a volunteer approached me requesting to look in my purse as I “May” have take. Something. Shocked I handed her my purse to looks through at which point she left. As I was so taken aback I see I perhaps needed to ask what the “something “ was. I am a long time resident and am appalled at what has transpired. No apology nothing: if this market is going to accuse people of shoplifting perhaps they need a lesson in reading body language and actually watching and see then do something before accusing .

Good market, but sure would be nice if the hours were longer. 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday is just not long enough. What if some people want to drive in from outside of Oliver? Almost seems as if they don't care if they get business or not.

Joining the team for a few weeks showed me the value that each of the volunteers bring to this club. Thank you all for sharing your time with me. I am proud of the service you offer the community and each other.
