Went business to Nanaimo and comfort the way back. The business seating had bigger windows and the seats leaned all the way back plenty of room. It was also very quiet. The BC made snacks and drinks were nice. Coffee was strong! Good! Staff member was so helpful getting me a phone charger and extra drink.!

On the way home comfort was also nice. However, the area was a lot louder, and the windows were less clear due to the salty water. I don’t know if I would’ve paid extra gain for business with such a short trip. Comfort was just fine.

Something to note if you book the centre of the boat it does not have a window looking out front so you’re looking at a wall. definitely book window seats. The tables, though in the centre of the comfort section were neat if you are with a family or want lunch and don’t care too much about the window view.

The washroom was clean, and there were food trucks available. More benches would have been great. It was a beautiful day, but having an enclosed area would be great in the rain, or heat. The shuttle bus to downtown was good.

Great fast ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo! Did a round trip on April 22 and definitely would recommend. Smooth sail but very efficient getting you to the destination in 70 minutes. The seats are comfy as well!
There is a free hullo shuttle that goes to downtown Nanaimo. When we were going back we didn’t realize there was no more times returning to the ferry terminal during the last drop off to downtown. Appreciation post to Randy, the shuttle driver for giving us a ride back even though his job was done for the day. Truly shows how kind and considerate the hullo staff are. Made our experience with hullo 100 times better knowing they care!

My first time taking the Hullo Ferry from Nanaimo to Vancouver. I went to the website and booked online. The website was very easy to navigate and had lots of useful information for passengers. Used the parking lot. It is a couple hundred meters walk to the terminal. Good, level sidewalk all the way. I already got my boarding pass when I paid for my ticket online.
Coffee and snacks available for purchase in the terminal. Limited seating on benches. It was raining so there were umbrellas available for passengers to use.
Boarding was smooth. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable seats and leg room.
The weather was not great, at least a meter to meter and a half seas. A bit rough as we headed out but the Captain slowed down and altered course so it was smoother. The departure briefing included advice on where passengers could sit where the effects of the rough seas would be minimized. I used the complimentary wifi. It worked well.
A good trip both ways.
As written on the website, there is no much protection from the elements at the Vancouver terminal. They had umbrellas there as well.

Bottom line, a great service that I will use again.

Really good experience, it felt so easy to get from Vancouver to Nanaimo and back without feeling longer than a normal commute. Staff were friendly and flexible. The umbrellas were the most special and thoughtful part that really shows how much the company cares.
