Charlie Petersen came highly recommended to us and we now understand why. Executing an unexpected sailboat sale after you burned all your annual holidays and live one province away had nothing but challenges. Charlie's services kicked in even before we signed the seller's brokerage agreement with tax advice on our new purchase that saved us the equivalent of his commission on the sale of our old boat. He was more than helpful and gracious in our attempts to get the boat tidied up for sale and by the time he had photos taken (which were top notch)--it looked and felt like a boat we were fools for parting with. Connect with Charlie as soon as you know you will sell because of his willingness to sort out the most important elements in boat preparation. For the sales process, given where we live, we left the keys with Charlie and he took care of all elements of the sale from there, including ensuring the buyer's survey could be executed in a timely fashion (not easy given short supply on surveyors) and taking them out on a sea trial. We just closed the sale yesterday -- no drama, no hassles, both parties feeling well treated in the deal. So--honest, professional, knows the regional market because he is so active in it, and with the people skills and work ethic you would hope for in any sales process.
