Everytime I have visited Service BC Nanaimo since 2022, the employees have been proactive, very helpful. Recently I went for Driving license-Knowledge test and I was dealt by different employees during different visits. I feel happy to see that these employees really love their job and this passion is visible in their service. Due to their optimism, I have never felt I am not in my home country.

Told a different thing by a different employee every time I’ve been in. Needs better consistency of information among workers. (Was told to come back for something twice and both times I was looked at like I was an idiot for doing exactly what I was told by the previous employee)

These guys have worst customer service they don’t wanna listen to a person standing in front of them and i never saw a manager with this lack of knowledge my documents clearly stated that i was authorized to work 360 days yet representative kept insisting on seeing my previous work permit expiry date this was completely irrelevant to my current status it cause unnecessary delays i literally have to travel 1 hour to get my work done from a employee who did this in just 5 mints proving that the first person was either uninformed or just just making the process harder then it needed to be really disappointing with the inconsistency in service

Between Ontario and BC services, and Canada Post delays, it’s cost me $270, 2 months, and counting to deliver sufficient proof that I’m not a new driver — conflicting and incomplete information given between online and in-person throughout the entire licensing process; duplicate forms with missing fields resulting in back and forth to correct; and mail undeliverable due to strikes. This review lands on Service BC Nanaimo since the final straw for me is that the “wrong” record I’d ordered/provided “happens all the time”, and the semantics of this record just didn’t cut it — “just because it costs more doesn’t mean it’s right”. Thanks for nothing.

Easy to find, clean, line moved fast, had a rep come to the line to check our needs. The Service rep was quick, friendly and efficient. Fast and great experience.

Suggestion: My picture looked extremely dark. The light in there was hardly sufficient for people with darker skin. I would highly look into that. I am now stuck w. An ID where you can hardly see my face. Atleast have options to lighten it in system.

Each time I try to book an appointment on phone, all I get is a voice recorded message saying they're busy. I've called so many times and I get the same message each time. I've tried to book an appointment and they're booked until August and the only time they even have available no matter which day I choose is between 9 and 10 am when I'm not available. They offer no other times and never pick up the phone. Incredibly disappointed, they should just have walk ins so I don't have to go through this stupidity.

I was worried about a wait. Arrived 9:50 am Monday morning. There was a worker who checked in with people in the line and asked what each person was in for and ensured they had what they needed to make the process as quick as possible at the wicket. She ddressed a young mans who just needed an N so he didn't have to wait in line. I was impressed. That is great service. I hope this is a regular practice.
