Great spot for breakfast, I had the hoss and a Cinnamon bun, both were delicious.

The hoss isn't described well but it's a LOADED sandwich, worth every penny. The Cinnamon bun was also very good, texture was perfect.

They also have gluten free options.

Fantastic local spot in downtown Nakusp! Great service and atmosphere, and the food was also delicious! I only gave 4 stars as I found the menu very limiting for someone with a variety of allergies. The staff are helpful but cannot guarantee it's safe for celiacs (which is not uncommon) and most sandwiches contain dairy and/ or soy as well. I still very much enjoyed my modified sandwich and my husband loved his breakfast! (Which looked delicious! Looking at his non GF bread had me very jealous😂) They have a great patio and lots of seating inside. Staff are quick to clear and bus empty tables during busy times. Free parking on the street in front of the restaurant.

I give them 4 stars because I don’t want to give a local small business a low rate. However, I was very disappointed. They only have one vegetarian option which is the veggie sandwich they can only do it on a white bread. The sandwich was very dry and tasteless. The fries tasted like a bacon which for a vegetarian was very disappointing…

Staying at Halcyon hot springs and nothing really around the area. Decided to venture into Nakusp.

Very comfort food shop. Price is very reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious. Lots of gluten free choices too.

A Hidden Gem – Hoss and Jill’s Bistro

I recently visited Hoss and Jill’s Bistro and was genuinely impressed! The menu is amazing—full of creative options and something for everyone. I ordered one of their burgers, and it was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. You can tell the place is run with care. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which really added to the overall experience.

Whether you're looking for a casual bite or a cozy place to unwind, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be back!

Decadent Canadian soul food... not sure how else to describe it but it's delicious. Large portions and the staff is very friendly. Reminds me of the good ol' days. Definitely a must visit if you're passing by Nakusp.

Excellent food, beautiful spot on Broadway with a nice patio area. My only criticism of this place was the service. The girl who took our order at the till was less than pleasant, and it seemed as though we were inconveniencing her when we ordered our food. I get it, people can have a bad day, however, when in the service industry that is driven by tourists in your community, that service goes a long way in the opinions formed about your overall community. Fortunately this experience will not taint our view of Nakusp in general; however, might consider an alternative breakfast location before we go back here again.
