We stayed for one night on our way to Prince George. According to review of campground in the area this was supposed to be pretty good. We were quite disappointed. The park is a bit of a mud pit. The spots are very narrow, with our slide out we were almost touching the neighbors awning. The septic drain was 1.5 ft high so it was unusable for our trailer to drain. The traffic noise of the highway was constant through the night with full time workers getting up around 4 or 4:30 am to go to work. The internet that is highly touted didn't even register on 2 of our devices and the 3rd was unable to sign in, even though we had taken a picture of the password at the self checkin office and verified it numerous times. At $50 a night, this was way overpriced for what you get. I can't recommendation this to future travellers at this price!

Just one night stop and so glad it was just one night. This is basically a field in back of the Days Inn Hotel. No fencing, nothing, so folks are constantly walking through going who knows where. Our site was barely level - had a nice rut about 6" deep that we were able to stop in front of and get somewhat level. The sites are awful small - our picnic table sat on top of our neighbors sewer connection. Basically two lanes of sites with the first (closest to the Days Inn) for transit visitors. Longer term get the second row, that's where the trees are. Sites are a mix of dirt and gravel with mostly mud during our stay. No circuit break on the power box but we use a surge protector so felt comfortable. Water connection was pretty low to the ground and sat right next to the sewer connection which was higher than our water connection. We did communicate with the owner/manager and she seemed very nice.

Stayed here for a night and it was great. We had full service hook ups and it nothing went wrong. The playground area is a great place for dogs and kids. The campsite offers swimming passes for the recreation center nearby. We didn't go so we do not know if the recreation center is good or not. Staff was very generous and we could pay the next day depending on our satisfaction. The campsite is clean of litter and garbage but the road is muddy with water. Would recommend for a visit!

EDIT: they ended up refunding me my stay and confirmed they were going to take a look at their policy.
I have to say this is pretty outstanding. Once I asked for the refund and it was denied I assumed that was it, regardless of my review. As a result, I have adjusted my rating to reflect that gesture! They really do value their customers advice and considered the situation!

DO NOT BOOK IN ADVANCE!!!
I booked this campground on May 5 set to arrive May 20. On May 9 (4 days after booking) we tried to cancel due to fires because 1. People in Fort St. John may need to evacuate there 2. It wasn’t necessary for us to be there travelling so leaving spots open to others in need and avoiding being near wild fires seemed like the smart choice.

Even though their website clearly stated when we booked that the refund you receive prior to June (high season) was refunded less 1 night and GST. Regardless, we tried to do the right thing at a time that could possible be very hectic for locals.
They took $100 of my hard earned cash! I learned the hard way and will for sure not book here again and also I won’t pay for sites in advance that don’t have a reasonable return policy.
There are plenty of other places around the area to stay that don’t have that ridiculous charge! (To be clear it’s not
