Renters beware. We have been trying to contact Rob and MacPherson Real Estate Ltd. For 2 months trying to get our deposit back and no return of calls or messages. They will try to keep your money when the tenancy ends. Extremely unprofessional. We will be taking next steps and legal action to get the deposit back.

Response. Thank you Rob for responding. Indeed this is in fact the correct company and I will be calling you directly tomorrow To resolve this and once our deposit is returned I’ll take this review down.

Wow! We are very impressed. My husband and I went through the rental application process which was awesome. A very simple online process. Any questions we have had have been answered promptly by Rob or Fanny. The app after approval is an added, convenient bonus!

I'm not a tenant but was a house guest when Mr. McPherson arrived on Rememberance Day and literally pushed past the resident , pushing her aside, to walk through brazenly. Making rude comments about the suite. The previous day and night we had collected warm clothes from the local community to organise and distribute to the marginalised in the dt East side. .He just jumped to conclusion that the labeled piles of jackets and sweaters and bags and boxes of clothes were just messy. He was abrasive to me and asked me who I was, which was none of his business, and when I asked him who he was he said "I'm the agent" There was no written request for a home inspection, in fact someone from his company had already been through in October.
It's was an unlawful entry, and he was a bully by every respect. I wouldn't have him represent my dog house. Sadly his type of ' management ' reflects poorly on those who do act professionally in his industry. It taints public opinion regarding property managers everywhere.
It was shameful to say the least.

Great company. So far haven't had any issues with this leasing agent. As a young adult living in the downtown area, they've been very professional as to dealing with appliance issues and very quick to answer any questions, basic or complicated. If you know you're a good tenant and looking for a well developed landlord, I'd recommend Rob!

Very poor bed side manner. Inconsiderate and straight up rude. Doesn't listen to tenants even when involving serious matters. 10 out of 10 would not recommend...

I wasn't going to go into detail but due to the response from Rob here we go. First off I have NEVER smoked inside any place I have rented, that is disgusting- I do not even smoke. We spent hours cleaning the unit even though there was a MOUSE infestation which was the reason we were leaving on short notice as my partner and I have health issues. We also have pets we were concerned about contracting disease. We didn't thoroughly clean the cupboards as this was where the mice were residing. I did not write this review to say anything bad about my previous landlord. I wrote this review to discuss how Rob treats people. During our walkthrough he ignored me discussing leaks in the ceiling as well as mice feces in the cupboards. He is extremely arrogant and makes false claims. There was no reason they could of held onto my deposit as they unit was clean and in good condition minus the mice which was not our problem. It also took about 18 days to receive our deposit back. Beware of this company as I have heard they rent out filthy units. As you can tell it isn't just me who has had terrible issues with this guy.

Outstanding. Rob and team managed my rental property for over 10 years, and it was great. No issues at all the whole time, and they found quality tenants whenever it was available. I couldn't say enough good things about them. All I had to do was watch the rent come into my account each month.

I was personally attacked by Rob for my gender, my age, and my financial status.

Young renters BEWARE. Rob MacPherson was so rude and unresponsive to me when I went to apply for an apartment listing. His responses were always never more than one sentence, and usually downright rude. I had explained my financial situation in a professional, accommodating way (I use a trust fund for rent payment) and he literally told me that he didn't believe me. What, a young female can't have money? DO NOT TRUST. This guy should be fired- or better yet, please retire. It's about time.

EDIT after owner response: "Did not provide services", Dawn is my middle name, not last (for privacy reasons, I won't share my full name). I can ASSURE you, I sent multiple emails to this person regarding a property. I sent Rob emails detailing my trust fund with MD Financial, all which were met with, and I quote, "unfortunately, you'll have to provide more proof than that". To which I asked what documents he was specifically looking for in an attempt to prove my trust was real and I had to ability to pay in full. Rob responded in a disinterested manner, not even bothering to answer the question. How is someone supposed to prove their income when the realtor won't believe anything you send them? I had my Regional Trust Officer attempt to get in contact with him, to which he didn't even bother replying to.

Now, this is my personal opinion on this person and should be taken as such. I believe Rob MacPherson has a personal bias against those who have either a lot of money for their age, or those who earn their income in a non-traditional manner. I felt personally attacked by Rob for my gender, my age, and my financial status. This behavior is no where near professional, and certainly NOT OKAY in this modern age.

To anyone who sees his listings, please be extra cautious, listen to the reviews on here, and read his responses to the reviews. Do you want to work with a man who would rather save face making excuses? Who brushes off those he's worked with because his job matters more? Who doesn't own up to his behavior?

I didn't, and neither should you.

I've worked with Rob at Coldwell Banker MacPherson for over 10 years and I've always been impressed with his service. His ability to find the right tenant for the right property makes my job so much easier. He's professional and pays attention to the details which is what I look for in a good property manager! I highly recommend Rob and Coldwell Banker MacPherson.
