We purchased a discounted vacation package at the CNE. We were told it was for a pre con project presentation being built in the area resort style. Since my husband is into real estate this was interesting to him. Later on we found out it was more like a time share. We are seasoned travellers and have been exposed to time share presentations before so we thought we could handle it. All in all the package was a pretty good deal. The location is pretty good, it’s within 5 minute driving distance to anything you could need. The “resort” itself, it’s nice. It does the job. Nothing luxurious but we didn’t have any major complaints. We got $150 to use towards the restaurant on site which we used the first night. It was a good experience. The next day we had our presentation. Our rep was a really nice, very professional lady. She gave us a recommendations of what do in the area which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Her presentation was compelling, we just needed a couple of days to run some math since we already had flights booked at the end of the year, we wanted to see how we could use the time share to our advantage. However we were handed of to “sign out” with the manager. This was such a disappointing experience. No people skills, very condescending, very smug, very pushy, making us feel like it was a no brainer, no need to run numbers or math. We were honestly considering it, but once we got to him, he left a bad taste. He took all the papers we had with us to run the numbers and said he could no longer help us. We went to the recommended places by our original rep and had an amazing day with the kids. We thought of going back the next morning to speak to our original rep and ask her the final questions before signing up, we decided to do a quick google search, we came across all the honest reviews and all our questions were answered. Thank God for google.
All this to say, we got a cool little family vacation at a discounted price. The room isn’t perfect, I think they used to host the people from these discounted vacations at a different, run down hotel down the street but it’s under renos so we were put in one of their more run down rooms in the nice hotel. The floor was still a bit dirty from the previous guests, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, it didn’t have a balcony like the other units, it was in the older part where you have to take 3 flights of stairs to get to because the elevator is “under maintenance” However, if you see the deal take it, listen to the presentation and go about your day. And Mr manager sir, if you’re reading this, fix your pitch, you could’ve sold one of your packages today if you weren’t so yucky. (although I’m thankful I didn’t buy it)

My family stayed at this resort and was required to attend the presentation. The presentation started well, and we were excited to consider being a member. However, when we started asking more questions, it became a very condescending conversation. They became rude and brushed us off. We felt discriminated against, and they didn't value us. It was scary and disappointing to know that this still happens in Canada.

Our experience with Vitality Vacations has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Despite being promised high-quality accommodations during the sales pitch, we were given a website with subpar options that did not meet our expectations. Communication with the manager has been inconsistent, with shifting reasons for the lack of availability, from claiming there was only one resort in Disney to stating we were not flexible enough with dates. These inconsistent explanations have wasted our time and left us without a satisfactory resolution.

They initially couldn't get us to buy the full membership but convinced us to purchase a trial for $3,000+HST, money that feels completely wasted as there's no way we are booking these properties. After our complaints, they offered a few other properties "for exclusive full members." Even then, while they were in much closer proximity, they were outdated, lacked anything special, and didn't look like places anyone would want to stay in unless under serious budget constraints.

We requested a refund due to their failure to deliver on their promises but were denied. We even proposed reimbursing us for a vacation we will book ourselves, as we promised our kids a vacation, but this was also declined. I would stay away and would not recommend Vitality Vacations to anyone.

Horrible experience. They literally cheat you by sending you booking information about Water resort and when you check in they give you room in another rundown property of their own. The receptionist Jennifer is so rude that she is not interested in listening to your concern. Absolutely non sense. Stay Away even while booking for free.

I've read quite a few reviews before writing mine and I'll say this, you willingly signed up to attend this presentation/pitch! It's pleasant enough sitting with the reps, we didn't find Duanne pushy at all but their idea revolves around you being 'forced to take a vacation' each year because of their offering. You pay $31000 + an annual $1495 to get 105,000 points that are equivalent to 2 weeks in a year at either their Collingwood property, South Carolina Property, or Bahamas property. Plus you get access to over 3000 other properties worldwide for which you pay an additional $69 and you get to use your points there.

Once your points finish, you can purchase more. I'm guessing around $700-1000 or so for every 50,000 points. You can finance the 31000 at 5% for up to 24 months after which the rate changes to nearly 19% or you can take out a line of credit or pay the remaining balance in cash. What I didn't like with the lady following Duanne was when asked about the fine print for us to review, she wasn't very forthcoming. She said 'once you say yes' you'll get all those details.

Is there no legal obligation to present prospective clients with the COMPLETE terms and conditions prior to gaining their commitment? How can anyone make a $31000 decision after a 40-minite pitch and with 5 lines that you present on a sheet of paper, without understanding how we can exit from this if we realize this isn't for us?Your staff are very pleasant but your methods need an overhaul. You'd probably have more success if you offer a 1 year or 6-month trial option for people to truly experience your offering without you controlling the weekend.

Lastly, you shouldn't put people in a different resort from the one you're trying to get them to buy into. All in all, everything was OK but a wasted effort on your part because of how you made the offer.

UPDATE: Thank-you for replying and none of this was explained to us during the presentation. If we were told that after saying 'yes' that we'd be given T&C to review, it would've helped us make a more informed decision. By 'members' do you mean there's some financial commitment you've already secured from us?

Scam alert, they are ridiculous. Make you sit through a presentation and act all sweet initially and give us overwhelming information about their vacation packages. After the presentation when we refused to purchase the ridiculous 40k package they started to get all rude and also made racist remarks and comments. One of the sales rep also started asking us questions stating “why dont you still have kids since you are Indians” Dwayne a Sales rep was extremely rude with my wife as well. Would surely never want to be associated with such a company.
