My husband was in a highway accident with a truck and a trailer doing 110 and they did X-rays and told him he’s fine and can go home. They made him walk around etc, they didn’t do a full body assessment or anything. He came in at 2 pm and was offered no food or anything til morning. When he came home I noticed his ear was three times the size (hard to miss) and he was hard of breathing as he was at the hospital as well which I would be concerned about if I was the dr. I made him go to our dr in Regina and they did a full assessment and the X-rays. He had a broken back in two places and virden missed it and sent him home! They didn’t give him care during his stay either he was pretty much left alone to fend for himself. With a broken back! I am mind blown at the lack of care to assess and how do you miss a broken back on an X-ray! That day was the worst pain he has ever felt and to not get proper care made it that much worse. I thought a small town would have better care than the city and I was definitely mistaken! I do not recommend this hospital at all!

We were on our way home to Ontario, when I ended up with a broken finger due to a fall. The closest hospital was Virden. Thank you Dr. Ahmed, nurse Raymond A. and the rest of the staff on duty, that made everything possible to lessen the stress of having injury on the way . The care they provided was beyond excellent. Very knowledgeable, very respectful and very professional. Thank you again!!!

I went to the emergency room with an 11 day flu that was not getting better, the nurses were extremely welcoming and the emergency doctor was very good, the emergency doctor followed up with phone calls to make sure all was going well afterwards. My regular doctor here is also very good.
