If you look at the public statistics of how much of your dollar donation make it into the hands of the people that need it, that figure is approximately 10 cents on the dollar. They help people, but it could be so much more if it didn't all go into operating costs, or less know as salary for the executives. Do not give to this organization and find charities that 90% or more of your dollar gets into the hands of the people that need it, United Way is not that charity.

Wow, came here from that article on the donations from United way. It's legal theft. I was donating to help people in need, not the executives to buy bigger houses. Do not donate to unity way there are other charities that do the same things but more of your dollar goes to the people that need it.
