Communication was poor. Sam and Olga need to work on discussing the risks and changes they make when the financial transaction has a long process time (6 months). They need to focus on answering clients questions much quicker, with a more conservative approach.

Sam and Olga were nice and friendly to deal with, but communication once a transaction has been started needs to be consistent and transparent.

October 2, 2023 - Update
COVID was a difficult time and posed its own challenges with mortgage rate spikes and drops leading to an unpredictable market, which is understandable.

However, poor communication cannot be excused. Prior to working with Sam and Olga a second time we had spoken in great deal over the phone of ensuring communication was consistent and transparent. Multiple times emails and phone calls had gone unanswered; additionally, when voicing my concerns with Sam I was yelled at and told he will not be held accountable for my bad financial decisions.

A combination of poor communication and being berated for following financial advice given to me by Trilogy Mortgage left me dissatisfied with my service. There is no excuse for poor communication when it comes to major financial decisions.

Sam was awesome. He really took the time to explain to us first-time home buyers what our different options were and what the pros and cons of each would be. He went through all of the wording and terms in detail so we really felt we understood it.

With our mortgage coming up for renewal he reached out to us several months in advance to give us time to do the research and find the best option for our renewal.
