Our Ontario friends tell us of their recent June visit to Oliver. Interested in a vacant land parcel they visited the Town of Oliver Office to obtain it's civic address. They encountered a locked door and intercom. Once admitted they asked the very elderly clerk and were told that the locked door was for CROWD CONTROL! 🥺 Then were then told by the same clerk that the civic address was CONFIDENTIAL and would NOT be provided.✅ They left the Town of Oliver Office in disbelief, and immediately shelved the building of their estate home here in Oliver.✅ SHAME ON YOU ✅✅✅Postlogue: They have commenced building their estate home in Naramata.😀

Wine capital of Canada! Oliver has so much to offer year round. Wine tasting, swimming, golfing, cycling in summer. Mt Baldy, Apex and Nickel Plate in winter. Not to mention the incredible Wine Village!

The town of Oliver itself is a great community. One of the best places I have lived. This review is of the town of Oliver Municipal staff. Particularly, Cathy Cowan. I find her to be a completely unprofessional, snotty, argumentative, and self absorbed. She is unwilling to work with you to resolve issues, and fails to recognize her own incompetence. She hides behind other incompetent staff, and points blame elsewhere. Perhaps its time for her to retire!
