We eloped with tin poppy in june of 2025. We stayed at the lavender Cabin and had such a wonderful experience. Everything was handled meticulously and we got to enjoy our day with 0 stress! The lavender "cabin" is actually huge, our only wish was that we all stayed there together (6 of us total) instead of booking another cabin and that we stayed longer! They accommodated our dogs so well and we are so grateful for them for making our special day seamless. We will be back for a vacation!

Loved every second of my stay! Stayed at Wild Rose cabin previously and loved the area so much I came back with my dog for a stay at Tin Poppy. We had a great time exploring trails and hanging out on the beautiful property. Will be back next summer (and for a longer stay!)

What a great way to experience the quiet of the forest while having all the luxuries of home.  We stayed in the Lavendar house and had a fantastic 3 days tucked away in the forest and yet somehow only 60 minutes from our doorstep.

Breathtaking views, tons of trails and a quick trip down the hill you can enjoy the Grindrod pub.  The house had tons of hot clean water, amazing open floor plan with natural wood beams which was very inviting and felt upscale.  Honestly a true gem in woods.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Wild Rose cabin in May and absolutely loved our getaway. The cabin was cozy, clean, and beautifully tucked away—perfect for a peaceful retreat. We especially loved the woodstove fire and the propane lights; they created such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The outdoor fire pit was another highlight—we spent our evenings enjoying the quiet and stargazing by the flames. Our dog had the best time exploring—there are beautiful hiking trails right outside the door on the property, and we even took a short 3 km drive to Larch Hills for some more incredible hiking.

Keep in mind that this is an off-grid cabin, so there’s no electricity or running water. The mini fridge runs on propane, and the outdoor shower is a simple bag shower setup. There’s also a wood-fired sauna available, though we didn’t end up using it. All of these rustic touches added to the charm and peacefulness of the experience. It was such a relaxing and memorable stay, and we can’t wait to come back!

We got married at the Tin Poppy Retreat and it was beyond magical. The cabins and the location are perfect, an overall amazing micro wedding package that included everything and more! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, the hall was decorated beautifully and the outdoor ceremony spaces are otherworldly. We’re so grateful for this space and the micro wedding package and would recommend to anyone looking for this style of wedding!!

Wow!! Hats off to Tin Poppy. We just finished our two night stay in the Lavender Cabin and had such an amazing relaxing stay. There were 10 of us and the communication from Maggie was clear and helpful. And our dogs had the best time to! So many trails to explore. We will 100% be back.
