Stopped at a picnic table for lunch. A great little spot with tennis courts, playground area for the smaller ones. Unfortunately, the wasps were out in full force. We put some food on a nearby table and poured on some pop to distract them. Somewhat worked. We didn’t stay there long.

We went to Taber not expecting the campground to be very busy. We were about 9 hours from home. When we arrived, the campground was almost booked full. Gary was so amazing to deal with! He was able to give us a site for the days we needed and went above and beyond to be helpful! The campground is absolutely gorgeous and very quiet and clean for as big as it is! We will definitely stay again, but will make sure to make reservations next time.

The park was very nice, although those that direct you there should actually know what is available there. We were told there were showers there but there are none. Had we been told fresh water was available as soon as you go through the gate by the washrooms we could have used our own showers. Over all easy stop for one night at a good price.

5 star campground with a 1 star reservation system.

We stayed here mid-week in late May for 4 nights. Great park situated on the banks of the Oldman River, lots of trees, campsites are large and fairly well spaced. Several trails for hiking and mountain biking, and a frisbee golf course a short walk away.

Reservations: Like most campgrounds you use a map to pick a site that you like that is available for the nights you want. You fill out your information and proceed to pay. But, just before you click pay you are advised that if you want the site you chose, you need to pay an additional fee to lock it in, otherwise on arrival you look at the whiteboard to see which site you have been assigned. What?! Of course I want that site. That's why I went through the process of choosing it, and was willing to pay for it. If an additional reservation fee is required, be up front about it. Don't hide it until the very end, then explain it as a way of avoiding being assigned another campsite of the park's choosing.

A once decent campground under “new” management.

Now hardly enjoyable due to their new booking app, which is absolutely trash.

It used to be a fair experience through first come, first serve but now its just a bunch of losers booking all the good stalls from the start of the year and then no-showing so no one can book or enjoy it.

The management is facilitating this POOR behaviour by just lazily allowing the app to control their campground. Cancellations should be FULL RATE to deter greed bookings and only allow half the stalls to be booked through the online portal.

We stayed 3 nights at this campground and we loved every minute of it. We stayed at a site backing up to the river. The river is shallow and swimmable. Lots of walking/ cycling paths. The sites are large with lots of shade. Flush toilets in the main shower house and showers and firewood are free. No fire bans ever due to their watering schedule. Camp caretaker Gary is an excellent host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Cell phone service is sketchy which made our stay even more memorable! There’s an off leash dog park about 2km away by the Trout pond. My pooch had a great time too.

What a fantastic campground! All of the sites are very spacious and have some shade. Some back onto the river edge. The showers are free. There is a huge day use area. The campground is very close to the town of Taber where you can access groceries etc. There is no cell coverage.

Literaly every weekend is booked I used to be able to get in all the time. Absolutely sucks that there is never any availability your reservation app sucks
