The low reviews weren’t kidding.
I work in women’s health and I'm highly disappointed.

I was referred here by my Dr. I had been warned by a friend about this place, but I didn’t believe it could be this difficult.
I have had 3 appointments now, all for an IUD insertion. The first appointment was at the beginning of January. I was scheduled for a copper IUD insertion, and left with nothing at all.
I was shooed out of the room, and left feeling pressured and confused because I was now going to receive a hormonal IUD, with a rescheduled appointment being nearly two months away.
The day of my appointment I received a text message saying my appointment (that was in 2 hours) was rescheduled to next week.

I called to inquire and was told by the receptionist that I would never receive a text message like that about my appointment. Before I could even respond, they hung up.
I drove in from Beaumont because this appointment was important to me and I was confused.
It turns out the appointment was cancelled.

I understand things are difficult within the system of health care right now.
I understand having to cancel from being sick, but this level of professionalism and care from a health stand point is unacceptable.

I had a few of my friends recommend getting an IUD at this location, and I'm so grateful that I took their advice!
Dr. Anderson-Hill was kind, confident, and made it a positive experience from start to finish. Any pain/discomfort was monitored the whole time, was constantly asked if I was doing alright, and was even given a hot waterbottle right at the start to help ease any cramping. 10/10 recommend going to see her. The nurse and receptionist who helped me were also incredibly friendly and nice to work with!

Just left from getting an iud and couldn’t be more satisfied with my procedure! I had dr Anastascio and she was just wonderful! The nurse before was so helpful and kind! I was very nervous but she walked me through everything!! I’m in a little pain right now but in terms of getting an iud I’m very lucky to have such professional and kind woman helping me!

This place now holds a special place in my heart. The whole team is phenomenal ❤️ My whole experience was amazing! Fully recommended 10/10. The check in was fast and smooth- I was already sitting after a minute waiting for them to call me in. They called me in after 5 mins and honestly the lady guiding me was so nice! I already had my IUD device brought in since I changed my mind with doing it with my regular family doctor. And was really considering different places to do it with. I did not made a mistake choosing this place to go for my first ever IUD. They also provided me a hot compress and stress ball to relax myself. After that, an apply juice! Yum! I was super nervous during the process and yes, they make sure you are well informed with what you are bout to get yourself into. The nurse and the doctor made sure I was comfortable and they educated me before they were going to do things. My Doctor is Dr. Botros-- She is amazing! I will be coming back to see her now-- she cared and listened to me. It took so much worries off my shoulder. This is my first ever time, and I am so duper happy! Thank you so much, Woman's wellness centre! It promotes more women to tell better experience with their IUDs.

Extremely rude receptionist!!!!! I was referred to this clinic 4 years ago for an IUD insertion and was advised to get it checked annually. Called to schedule my year 4 check up for sometime in January and was told very sharply "Why? you've already been checked this year". Yeah. On January 2nd. I'd like to book my annual check up as January is less than a month away.. Like A: why are you so rude and B: maybe look at a calendar before opening your mouth. I would reconsider this clinic if you expect to be treated with empathy and compassion by the front desk. I've had good experiences with the doctors I've seen but I'm completely put off by how I was treated on the phone. Unbelievable. Everyone has bad days, but maybe check yourself when you are dealing with the public.

Whoever is working the phones right now as we speak is so rude and entitled I’m always scared to call these women’s health places for this exact reason. I want to feel safe but when I’m given so much attitude for wanting to book an appointment which is what the phones are for it makes me feel so anxious and bad for calling. I’ve called this place twice and I probably got the same receptionist last time too because my experience was the same. She was so rude for no reason, hire more compassionate people I’ve never been rude to a worker in my life especially over the phone no one deserves this treatment.

I was very disappointed in my experience with this clinic, which was only with the receptionist because I didn't get in for my appointment. As a health professional I expected understanding, compassionate service from the receptionist - creating a safe and welcoming environment for women attending. Women need safe spaces. And as a person who had uncovered SA and has a DV background this was the first time I felt comfortable to book in for a physical since uncovering this info - I needed to feel safe and comfortable with this new clinic, as I am in a new community and navigating PTSD. Originally when I booked in for my appointment I was never told of any potential fees if something happened with my appointment.
I booked 3 weeks in advance and ensured I took the time off - so naturally you would think I put the time of the appointment in my calendar at the correct time - but I'm not perfect and could have made a mistake. I called 15 min before my understood appt time to ensure I had the correct address only to be met with a very cold, inconsiderate receptionist who told me I had missed my appt - apparently an hour earlier and the only way I could rebook is if I paid a fee.
I obviously didn't try to waste anyone's time or missed the appointment purposely- I was calling to ensure I was coming to the correct location.
When I asked more questions and for clarity she basically dismissed me and the treatment left me in tears on the phone. She just repeated herself and said I needed to pay the fee.
Even though the Doctors at this clinic come highly recommended I won't be returning - it seems I am not the only one who has encountered unkind and uncaring front end staff here which is not conducive to the safety and health of women attending. I won't support this clinic. We need to do better in women's care than this!!

I was referred to this clinic for a gynaecology appointment for chronic Bv & already diagnosed prolapse. My first visit I seen nurse Donna for most of the appointment. She proceeded to tell me I had the opposite prolapse than I was diagnosed with my pelvic floor therapist & told me that PFT is a scam. I then proceeded to discuss a hysterectomy with her in which her response was “we wouldn’t want to change how god made you”

The clinic didn’t have me scheduled with a dr but I insisted on seeing one. Upon meeting her, I liked this dr & she helped me with the proper diagnosis as asked me to return for another appointment.

My next appointment despite asking it be with the same dr I already saw was with a different dr. She also insisted she would not be even discussing a hysterectomy because I was too young & I might want to have more children.

I do not want more kids, I had Hyperemesis over my pregnancy & was at risk for dying in labor.

She then goes on to tell me I have PMDD & a chronic BV infection. I get some oral medications prescribed & a steroid cream. Does not work.

I go back again, she does a new round of treatment, works.

We follow up & she says if it comes back to call again

A few months go by & it’s back I call & leave a voicemail. No return call

I call & call & call & call to the point now I think they are no picking up my calls. I email no reply.

The clinic now almost a year later still will not pick up my calls or return my emails.

Today I seen a real drs clinic & was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis with a high chance of cancer due to the progression & lack of diagnosis for proper treatment. I was also diagnosed with autoimmune progesterone dermatitis which I had asked about over & over & over again in ever appointment to be told it’s just a rash & there was nothing they could do including testing my hormones or getting an allergy test.
I now have a referral to get an allergy test & if confirmed the best course of action would be a hysterectomy. The male dr I spoke with today was absolutely wonderful & confirmed everything I thought had been going on for nearly 5 years now.

So thank you ladies for promoting yourselves as a woman’s clinic that is there to help woman with issues that typically go undiagnosed. I’m so happy I wasted two years of my life trusting your clinic & drs to not only be essentially ghosted by your clinic but also left misdiagnosed despite there been clear & obvious evidence of these conditions.

I will be filling a complaint with Alberta health services.
