This not on the Doctors at this clinic. The Doctors are great. It’s the receptionist in front. Very Rude and very upsetting. I was five minutes late for my appointment due to construction on the highway. I am a person that’s usually 15 minutes early for my appointments as she could see in the past. I just had surgery on August 27 a hip replacement. Being in pain quite a bit, and have a pass with blood clots. I was to have a meet and greet and a check up with my doctor. And when I was there was turned down to meet with the doctor after an hour drive in well over an hour with the construction. And was told I could not be seen to call back in two weeks to three weeks to make another appointment in a months time. This is not acceptable. The lady behind me said she was early. Let in right to my appointment early and seen by the same doctor. Very not fair. I have heard from other people about this receptionist in the past of being so upset too. I also was told I would have to pay , a no-show fee but was not a no-show. I was only five minutes late. She said this would go down in my file as a no-show and from now on if I was late or didn’t show I would have to pay for the appointment. This is very unfair. as a doctor myself, I never refuse patients. Yes if they’re over a half an hour an hour late they will have to wait till I have an opening, but I will never refuse them. Again, this is not acceptable for Alberta health services or this medical clinic.

I loved this office. They took me on when they were in Eckville, and I was freshly pregnant with my son in 2008. Then, in 2020, my dr sadly passed away. But one of their new Dr's was willing to take my family on as patients. He was great too, he didn't like no for an answer. Unfortunately, he moved away, and we lost our dr in early 2024. When we called the office to ask what to do, they basically told us we were out of luck and needed to find a new clinic. None of the other drs would help us, according to the letter we got and the staff. So we had to pack up and leave, figuratively speaking.

Dr.Nel is always late, even if you’re the first patient of the day. I’ve never had her be on time and have had to wait for 30-40mins mins. The front staff don’t seem to care and don’t make an effort to see how much longer. Also having to ask Dr.Nel to run test so I can get more answers for my symptoms as she doesn’t seem to really know.

Says the are open till 5pm. Called to book an appointment but it just kept hanging up on me so I drove there and they are closed at 3pm Fridays.

I miss my old doctor , after 13 years, how does anyone know you better than that. All your medical ups and downs, your emotions, I feel abandoned.

Love Dr Manchek. She’s the best Dr. I’ve had. I can’t say enough good things about her. She listens, and I can tell she really cares about her patients. I also love her nurses.

I can’t say the same about the front end staff unfortunately. Every time I try to make an apt or call for information I hang up annoyed because the person at the desk is so rude. Now I just ask to talk to one of her nurses so I don’t have to deal with the person answering the phone.

I’d give this clinic 5/5 if it wasn’t for the front end.

The Doctors are amazing. The staff at the reception is terrible. Very rude, extremely I would say. There is an older lady very nice but the rest of them, wow, it is mind blowing how they treat patients. And if you need them to call you back with some answers to your questions, ha! Good luck with that.

This was my childhood clinic. Unfortunately, my physician passed away a few years ago. Since that time I have received extremely subpar treatment. I know everyone is likely trying their best, but I have basically been lost in the shuffle. I have shown up for follow up appointments were no one knew why I was there, even through the clinic had requested my being there.

I recently dislocated my shoulder and was told my doctor reviewed my file, and x-rays, and there was no follow up scheduled. Not even a comment, just that they had “reviewed my results.” I ended up going to another clinic where my shoulder was put back in place.
