Horrible customer service.
Went for a vehicle transfer and got refused because it wasn't a 4 page carbon copy. It was filled out from the online print. Registration was signed as described on the form but the name wasn't written (no space for written name). Stone cold poker face said there is nothing left to discuss. Went to Hub at the mall and was greeted with a happy atmosphere and no problems. Will never go back!

Generally, I go through Sussex for my insurance needs but not in Salmon arm. Not anymore.

On my first visit, I was switching a car to my name and putting first month's insurance down. Pretty simple.

Felt overcharged and not handled well.

Brought my old plates in to cancel my insurance on my other car and they told me that'd cost me almost $80 to cancel my policy .

I took the old plates and my license back and went elsewhere.

Will not be returning.

Horrible experience. Had transfer papers from a dealer and they would not accept anything but a quadruplicate manual form. What dealership fills out a manual form? The supervisor working there was quite rude about it. I ended up getting this done over the phone with Westland, who were more than helpful in explaining what I needed and making it happen.

If I could give 0 starts I would. The man working here wouldn’t give us insurance because the “z in our last name looked like a 3 on our paperwork”. Truly a waste of time. He was incredibly slow. Save yourself some time and go to the Hub in salmon arm (where they have no comprehension reading problems) which is where we ended up going and regret that we’d not gone there first. I will never be back. Atrocious customer service.

Unfriendly staff, not professional at dealing with public. Both staff members I dealt with (older woman and young woman) did not greet me in a friendly manner, did not smile once, never said please or thank you, and seemed generally grumpy and smug. They spoke softly and mumbled so it was hard to hear them. They did not tell me information about my situation which would have caused me to come back for a third time that day, but by that time I did not want to work with these people anymore. When a new customer came behind me, the older lady rudely stated to me " youre gonna have to move cuz of the distancing thing". She should have asked the new customer to go to the other desk, or at least had the courtesy to say "Can you please move to the other side?"
I have been to this location 2 or 3 separate times, and every time I have dealt with this older lady, and she always has the same grumpy, unfriendly and smug attitude. If youre going to work with the public you should be present yourself in a friendly and caring way. I did not see this whatsoever. I will not go to this location again.
One last note: They had signs up everywhere saying they will not tolerate rude and foul language. I Cant help but think they caused themselves to have to put up these signs.

Particular staff member there was very rude to both myself and my husband. She was not aware of the rules around what was needed to insure our vehicle for farm and very rudely told us we didn't have what was needed after we showed her the requirements on ICBC's website which is what we had brought in. She was extremely demeaning and smug throughout the 40 minutes we were there, would not recommend this insurer. We ended up going somewhere else.
