It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Matthew Hammond at Sunesis over the past five years! We had built up a reasonable amount of savings through our self-directed investing efforts but felt we had reached the point where we wanted to involve a professional financial planner. We've worked with Matt for many years now, and he's taken us from having just a vague framework for the future to building a solid investment portfolio for the medium and long terms out of a combination of exempt and public markets, with emergency funds baked into this plan. He's also built an insurance plan for us that complements what coverage that I receive from work. He always comes with at least a couple of options, with a wealth of knowledge on their advantages, disadvantages, how they fit into our profile, and is ready with a recommendation if needed. I also really like how Matt is constantly evaluating his own recommendations, sometimes keeping an eye on things that can be done in the future to better grow our investments, and other times determining that markets or products are changing in a way that require changes to past decisions.

Matt is flexible, knowledgeable, and makes recommendations in a holistic fashion. And he's a nice guy to boot!
