Just one business day before the first withdrawal was to be removed from my account I receive a letter from Northbridge stating Sudbury Insurance Brokers messed up the quoting process and quoted me for insufficient coverage. In summary, this meant that my annual premium was being increased by another 20%. Not what I wanted to see more than four weeks after our contracts and paper work had been completed and my business had been driving on it's new policy. Why should the customer have to budget for the brokers mistake? They shouldn't, which is exactly what the billing department at Northbridge said when I called seeking professional advice. After informing SIB of what the agent at Northbridge had to say, SIB still declined to rectify the issue and instead expects me to cover the difference. Had I known this sooner, I would have never wasted my time and money with SIB and would have continued my search for affordable coverage. This sticker shock nonsense is the very reason I will be taking my next 71+ years of personal and commercial business to a new broker.
