Today at Sports Chek in Selkirk Mb. I needed to exchange my Nike shoes for a different size and I was helped as soon as I walk in the store. The very handsome gentleman went out of his way to get exactly what I needed. I really appreciate that kind of of service.

Wow!!! Just a heads up to the owners....if you're going to hire kids, maybe take there toys(phones) away from them while there supposed to be working!! Stood waiting with the shoes I was looking for for 15min. I asked two workers if they could get them and I was completely ignored and didn't get any service. They stand around doing nothing. It's not like they were even helping anybody, just talking, shooting the breeze.
Ended up walking out and buying some at Mark's. Customer service is DEAD at this location. Don't waste your time or money here. Clueless at best!!

This is where you shop if you forgot your bathing suit in Winnipeg, and you're headed up to the lake for 2 weeks! Outside of the very handy location, I'd say it was just like all the other Sport Cheks. Fair selection, good prices if you can find a sale.

Not the greatest sport chek i've been too but it's not the worst. They didn't really have many options for what i needed although the staff was helpful when i asked for a hand. We pretty much got everything we needed with the help of a staff member, sized my son and made sure his stuff fit right. All in all it wasn't bad but hope they get more opyions in stock soon.

There is only one name in bike repair in Manitoba: Taylor.

If you’re in need of bike repair in the 204 - walk, run or even cycle down to see Taylor at the Sport Chek in Selkirk.

I’ve been cycling and going to bike repair shops my whole life and have never been so impressed by the bike - knowledge and friendly service that Taylor provided.

My bike is literally from the stone-age (a CCM from the 80’s) and Taylor from Sport Chek treated it like a brand new, $6,000.00 bike. In fact, I had to take it back 2 extra times as the new parts weren’t conducive to the old frame, but each time Taylor was patient, thorough and never charged me extra.

So, so impressive!

And… I had the chance to meet Gwen, another employee of Sport Chek who is super friendly and super helpful.

I’m back tearing up the roads on my CCM 🚴🏻.

This is a smaller store so the selection is a bit limited. They may not have the full selection of other, bigger locations but are very willing to have items shipped to the store for you. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I went in to buy a bicycle tube and got chatting with Taylor about how my bike causes me to get numb in various areas. I returned later with my bike for him to look at. I didn’t think the handle bars could be raised any further, but he had a trick up his sleeve and brought it up another 1/2”. He also made some other adjustments. I have ridden the bike twice and it is so much more comfortable. I spoke with two bike shops in Wpg and was told it would cost $200 to have the bike adjusted for fit. He was very courteous, spent time listening to my concerns, and did an excellent job making adjustments all at a very reasonable price. His service was exceptional.
