Booked a family trip to Mexico with the help of Alexa Bezditny. We just came back from the trip and everything was in order for us as soon as we got into Mexico from the shuttle to the 3 rooms. It’s was the best case scenario. She was absolutely wonderful and super helpful. All 6 of us are throughly impressed with her. we continue to recommend her to everyone!!

I booked a Mexico holiday with Karina Thiessen for our family in Feb 2025. When we had a horrible Food Poisoning experience at our resort ruining our entire trip I contacted her in hopes that she could, if nothing else, ensure no one else had the same experience. She responded to me by email with these exact words:
"Unfortunately, it's not just the Sandos Playa Car that got effected, there were also serval others Resorts like the Royals and Dreams that are in the same dilemma(WestJet Vacation and Sunwing) which is due to a possible contaminated food shipment received by each effected Resort, unaware of the Contamination. "
Upon our return home I again contacted Karina so she was aware of the fact that even the Air Canada Vacations hospitality reps were sick and unable to assist their customers. Karina changed her explanation of the wide spread illness at the resort to match one of the many excuses the resort had used even though she was made aware of the restaurant closure for extensive health inspections. Her response to me by email - exact words:
"I hope by now all of your family that got infected by this virus have recovered from it. "
Sounds suspiciously like she was sending me a quote from a predetermined script of explanations ensuring not to incriminate anyone and blaming us, the customer for our ruined Vacation.
I truly hope that she will at the very least warn anyone else wishing to book their expensive vacation at that resort.

We booked a trip to Mexico through South East. The girl wasn't good at booking what would suit us and our travel needs. Not at all. She dropped the ball big time. The experience at the airport and resort was horrible. We paid a premium for this trip expecting it to be amazing, even flew business class, but it was all so disappointing. Waiting forever for the shuttle. The shuttle itself felt like it was going to fall apart. Why did we bother to pay for first class service for this holiday?
When we reached out to Southeast for help, we were told to go to
Air Canada Vacations but that turned out to get us nowhere.Air Canada told us to go to our travel agent! We went back to Southwest and they just said they wouldn't help us.
After our purchase, the service at South East travel was horrible. Why did we even use them Won't use again. They shouldn't sell vacations that are not tailored to the buyer. You don't send 60 yr olds who want peace and quiet to a resort thats just a loud 24/7 party of 20 yr olds. Obviously the girl at South East had never looked into that resort. What were you thinking? We went to you for guidance and you totally ripped us off.

I've been going to Karina for a few years now whenever my family decides to travel to/from Paraguay. She's always been super helpful, quick to respond and just a wonderful person to work with. Thank you for all of your help; we truly appreciate having a reliable travel agency to go to.

My experience in dealing with South East Travel was not pleasant nor professional. In trying to assist a friend who is dealing with cancer, Deborah could not have been more difficult in guiding the process to cancelation. Numerous requests were placed asking to speak to the general manager or the owner and all of them were ignored - she never responded. While that my review is not travel related, it does speak to the absence of customer service during what is a very difficult time for the party who purchased the tickets. Making the sale and supporting the customer with their additional needs should be supported equally. We did not find this to be the case when dealing with Deborah at South East Travel.

The staff were super helpful in finding us a flight for the following morning to tend to an ill family member in Edmonton. The flights were all direct and complete with coverage to save us as much hassle as possible. Much appreciated!
