Highly recommended home away from home. Warm welcoming hosts, beautiful, clean and meticulously maintained home and surroundings, awesome location, close to attractions and yet tucked away in a real serene corner of the island. Hosts with whom you can have interesting conversations. Breakfast was great. When I am back on the island I will stay here again. Petra and Tom you are the best! Thanks

Beautiful house on the lake. Comfortable. But the best thing is the hosts Petra and Tom. Friendly, sociable, people it’s pleasant to spend time with. Plus a delicious breakfast. I wish I could stay a few days more.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home with a beautifully manicured garden and back yard that looks out on the lake. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights during our September stay and it was amazing! Listening to the loons call over the lake at dusk was very relaxing as well.

We had an amazing experience at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Petra and Tom are amazing hosts who make you feel welcome and at home from the minute you walk in the door. The rooms and the home are impeccably clean, well appointed, and tastefully decorated, and the property is a stunningly beautiful creation of their combined talents of precise craftsmanship and artistic decor. The breakfasts are deliciously and freshly prepared and feature a daily variety of plentiful portions. Petra has a wealth of knowledge of the area which she willingly shares with anyone who is interested. A peaceful evening by the lake combined with the amazing sunsets is a real treat. A perfect 10! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I stayed at Serenity on the Water for 2 nights whilst visiting Ontario from the UK.Tom and Petra are lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome in their immaculate home.The view from our bedroom and their living accross the garden and the lake is stunning.Petra and Tom have several bird feeders just outside the window and it's such a treat watching all the birds.If you're considering visiting Manitoulin Island we recommend Serenity OnTheWater.

My wife and I just returned from a vacation in Michigan and Ontario, and our stay at Serenity on the Water was one of the trip's highlights and most memorable experiences. We made a last-minute reservation over the phone just a few hours before arriving at Manitoulin Island, unsure of what to expect. After driving through the woods, the breathtaking view of the lake, flower garden, and house suddenly appeared before us. The coffee, fresh fruits, and apple cinnamon French toast that Petra prepared in the morning were delicious. Tom and Petra were wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed hearing their stories.

We went with our niece from France, and spend the weekend there. I can’t say enough about this place. So relaxing, and inviting. You are welcomed with open arms. The place so clean, and the breakfast homemade. You can sit near the lake and enjoy your glass of wine, while hearing the birds singing, and the smell from the lake, and sunset amazing. It’s so peaceful, and relaxing. Would highly recommend, getting away from city life, and go and see Petra and Tom. You won’t be disappointed. I give them a 5 star rating,
