Dont bother going here, take the ferry and try to get help. In this day and age when we cant get an appointment at a walk in clinic and are told to go to this hospital they discriminate against you. From just after noon until 4 pm I waited like I was being punished for having to go there by our government. They did not help me and I believe they had no intention. Discrimination against women or just discrimination Im not sure. Terrible place. Im not sure who runs this hospital but concessions are going to have to be made for people that cannot see a doctor as the walk in clinics are not accepting anyone at this time and told me to go to the hospital for GP care. I think this establishment needs to open their eyes and start to rule by their hippocratic oath to promise to help people not ignore them. They need to inform people for their estimate of the best time to come not completely ignore them and there was NO ONE in the waiting room and I was ignored.

Had an unfortunate and nasty mountain bike crash. Multiple injuries. The ER admission was prompt. Nurses, imaging techs + doc were excellent, thorough and personable. Grateful for this hospital

Arrived for a family getaway and immediately had to check into ER with extreme pain. Doctor, nurses, (even admin) were awesome. Thank you all, for reference my visit began shortly after midnight on Jan 13th. Doctor especially was very patient and informative providing me with the range of options available and detailed knowledge of my condition I didn't know. Might have been Dr. Bauer? Regardless thank you to the staff who helped me that night, and the following night as well..

I'm a bit surprised seeing the range of reviews, but understand given then range of staff, and different dynamics of triage viewed through the lens of pain/illness. Am happy to be able to add to the satisfied pile of experiences..

The kindness, respect and compassion and professionalism I received today from the second I walked into ER to the minute I left was unheard of! Each and every individual that assisted me -from admissions, X-ray, residents, nursing staff , custodian to DR. Went above and beyond!

I arrived in the middle of the night with excruciating back pain. (Turns out I had a kidney stone)

The entire experience was amazing. Every nurse and doctor was extremely accommodating and caring. It felt very organic and human and I am very happy with the care I received. It turned something very scary into something where I felt like I just needed to get through it and I was in good hands.

In the time I spent there. Things got a bit busy but as things got busier their level of care and compassion didnt waiver.

I cant say enough good things! Thank you to all the staff over there. Its comforting to know that such good care exists on the coast!

As a woman seeking support with very sensitive subject matter, I’m deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion showed by every nurse and the doctor who treated me. Everyone made me feel very safe, supported and looked after.

Yes, the wait was long- but I don’t feel that should overshadow the attentive care that the staff demonstrated.
