Randy and his wife are absolutely amazing people. From the moment we pulled on to their property, we were treated like family. The sites we were in worked great for us (thankfully all the seasonal neighbors were closed up and gone for the season) and we will 1000% be back to visit this spot again!

We pulled on here one sunny day and got a spot over looking Kootenay lake. It is clean and modern for all camping. The hots rock just an amazing place. You have to be here to enjoy the views.

We spent a week at Schroeder's in July of this year. We stayed last year for the first time with friends and had such a wonderful time we booked again before we left and we already have our reservations for 2020. Schroeders is a beautiful place right on Kootenay Lake, but its location is only a small part of it's charm. The sites are extremely well maintained, the washrooms and showers are immaculate, thanks to the hardworking staff, and the neighbors are incredibly friendly. There are large number of seasonal sites here, and everyone takes great pride in their sites. There are so many beautiful decks, flowers and ornaments around the grounds that it is a pleasure to go for a walk every day. Randy and Sandy are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Several times a day each of them would drive by in the golf cart and we were always greeted with a wave and a smile, and often we head the pleasure of a visit from them, along with other seasonal residents (Hi Larry!). One of my favorite things is the "Clubhouse" where they have a daily Happy Hour, where there is also a TV where we would go to watch football games. There is also an extensive library of books and movies which you can borrow. For many years we stayed at another campground in the Kaslo area, which was and is very popular for famlies with kids. Now that are kids are grown we appreciate the peace and quiet of Schroeders. See you next year!

Place is great and very friendly but only 3 shower cabins and only 4 toilet bowls (2 with sowers, and 2 near tent camping) for about 60 sites would not be enough in high season. We were the only tent campers and had that toilet just for ourselves - but having neighbours would make the stay much less comfortable.

Probably the nicest place we have stayed at with our trailer with full hook-up. Lots of trees make it feel like a proper campground rather than a parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff with nice amenities. I was really impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the shower facilities. Nice views of the lake if you are closer to the beach which was rocky but quiet.

Very good hospitality. Very welcoming to everyone. When we first rode our motorcycles in we thought it was another RV sardine can but they have some nice tenting sites separate from the RVs. Don't worry about highway noise because it is not busy at all.

Overall a very nice campground and I highly recommend it.

We came here on August 15th and planned to stay until the 23rd as our friends had recommended it to us after their stay last summer. . Right from the start we were welcomed and treated like family. A few days in, we decided that we wanted to stay until the 28th. We went to talk to the manager, Randy, but were told that someone is moving into our spot (19a) on the 23rd. He asked us to leave it with him and he would see what they could come up with. Two days later he comes by in his golf cart and says, 'i think i found you a spot!' We were pretty stoked! Happy hour is everyday at 4pm and everyone brings their lawn chairs over to a central area. They have a 'gazebo' for when it is rainy during happy hour and my son was pretty happy that there were also dvds that could be borrowed. We've met all the regulars and everyone is so warm and welcoming. The showers are clean, same with the laundry facilities. We will definitely be returning next year! And we want to bring our friends and families with us.
