BEWARE DO NOT USE this travel agency. They claim to have your best interests and find you the best valued flights. Unfortunately they withhold pertinent information when questioned about alternate options and make a claim that the reservation they’ve found you is the best value. They will provide misinformation that the airline company you’re booking with has a no cancellation policy when in fact there is a 24 hr cancellation window posted on the airline’s website. Unfortunately when you book flights with a 3rd party agency such as Royal Holidays, they are they only party that has the ability to cancel your reservation within the airline accepted 24 hr window.

There is NO verbal or written communication that indicates Royal Holidays has a no cancellations and/or refund policy. When a reservation cancellation is requested not even 8 hours after the reservation is made they will refuse to cancel your reservation with no valid reason.

The only recourse in this scenario is to dispute the charges with your bank. BEWARE!!

I joined a tour group that was offered by Royal Holidays to Beijing. The iternary included the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Great Wall, Heavenly Temple, and other signature places such as the Olympic landmarks the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Promised a 5 star hotel and sampling of signature local dishes. Sounded great until we arrived. The hotel was dirty, the shower drain was always clogged, the room was small, the single bed was uncomfortable, and above all there was no heat provider as temperature of the room fell to 16c. Is there a different rating scale in China or we just got scammed? Lastly, the tour included a daily breakfast provided by the hotel - where the plates and cutleries were dirty and that basically speaks for the quality of food. Although the tour destinations were delivered as promised, the shopping additions felt like we were being fed to the lions with their high pressure sales. After doing some investigation online, I discovered these stores were fraud and filled with dishonest reviews.

Royal Holidays did not take proper measure to ensure their tours are creditable and honorable. This trip was supposed to be a fun holiday and it turned into a letdown and needs further improvements. I would say buyer beware before booking with them again. Otherwise, an intended memorable trip can turn into a sour grape.
