Always love to support local. It's a very cute book shop with different book collections,jellycat, and notebooks. You can also order online. Staff were super friendly! We ordered some niche manga volumes and we love them.

Great little bookstore! Though i wish they had more Romance options and maybe less kids stuff. Staff is always very nice and inviting & helpful and i love that i can order books from them and they call & email when it’s ready. Still one of my favorite places to stop in after a long day at work, even if I don’t purchase anything 🙂

A wonderful little book store with a plethora of goods available beyond the incredible selection of literature. A must for anyone travelling in southwestern Ontario. Located in the heart of historic Amherstburg. Friendly, knowledgable and competent staff.

From the many bookstores I have been to, this store is definitely up there on my list of awesome bookshops. Not only did it have a queer section of books for Pride Month (which I loved).
Note: They have queer books in general not just for Pride Month!

They also had a Children's section (which looked very cozy and cute), and a banned book section!
I especially loved the banned book section, you don't see that everywhere. So it was neat to see a bookshop selling those books that have been challenged by other people.

River Bookshop was clean and organized and it was amazing to go there!
And I hope I will be able to visit this store soon.

Such an amazing place for everyone to find a book which represents them and their world. The staff is second to none with their knowledge of books from all different genres. It does not matter what sort of book I am needing for my personal reading, my own kids or my classroom, there is always something for me here.
My favourite part of this store is how it is always involved with making the community of Amherstburg more alive and vibrant. The staff and management are always willing to try new projects to engage readers both young and old.

Charming bookstore with an excellent selection of books and puzzles. There’s also a gorgeous little event space above called ‘The Hole in the Wall’ that hosts lots of fun and interesting events. The River Bookshop has gone a long way toward creating a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere in beautiful downtown Amherstburg. We do a lot of socializing and gift shopping here!
