Terrible customer service! I have been dealing with Joshua Griffith and it takes him months to reply back to an email. I have contacted him multiple times, tried calling, and contact the front desk asking for them to get him to call me and he never has. They let the builder do AWFUL work and don’t care if it looks bad in the end. They also approved items to be fixed and then contact me 4 months later and said they are taking back one of the items they approved. Do not use this company!!

As a new home owner my family and I are disgusted at the quality of craftmanship this home "warranty" company considers acceptable. A few months after moving into our new home we had our regular contractor come out to extend the deck and build a hot tub platform. At that time it was noticed the craftmanship of the existing deck was full of deficiencies. We first contacted the builder (Indigo Homes) and dealt with Karan. His excuse for the poor construction quality of the deck was that he was too busy to ensure it gone done properly. Apparently he is more concerned with rushing through houses than he is with the quality of work he performs. But back to Progressive... Karan suggested we follow up with the home warranty company and therefore we did. After weeks (maybe months) of waiting, our agent Megan Mulrooney finally got back to us via email telling us our claim had been denied. She said if we would like to get more info regarding the decision to set up a call. That call was set up for 2pm on Wednesday Sept 25, 2024. She never attempted the call. After several emails and phone calls leaving voicemails she finally called my back today, Sept 30, 2024 and reiterated the the major splits and cracks in the deck were not going to be something their home warranty covers. Furthermore, she explained to me that it was regular practice to have the home builders come out and INSPECT THEIR OWN WORK. This company is nothing better than a scam that protects shotty home builders who cut corners in order to make an extra buck while taking money from the pockets of hard working home owners. INDGO HOMES will also be getting a review. Sincerely - one ripped off home owner!

They never do on-site assessment and make decisions in favour of builders. Very unprofessional way of doing claim assessment. If all those complaints mean nothing to your company, the government should be involved in evaluation of their credibility.

This is BY FAR the worst home warranty company in Alberta. If your building a home, buying one or your builder uses them RUN, AND RUN FAR AWAY. Find a new builder because the system is setup to favor the builder. Let me explain. The BUILDER has to buy the insurance for building a home. They have essentially 2 choices: these guys or Alberta New Home Warranty (ANHW). I have dealt with both companies and ANHW did not favor the builder in my case and we had major repairs done through warranty that the builder tried to disregard. Also, ANHW is more expensive for builders so they elect to choose the cheaper of the two. Now for Progressive to maintain business with the builders they need to 'favor' warranty claims to the builder. The only recourse you have is to escalate the claims, and then that takes for ever. Make sure to do this and take them to arbitration, as I have won in this case. You can not sue an insurance company in Alberta, as my lawyer told me, unfortunately and they know this. So at the end of the day, they don't care about the homeowner because they don't bring them in money, they lose money from homeowners. Everyone that works there is incompetent, from multiple reps (Baron Steele to be one) who will take months to respond to emails and is either purposely disorganized or hired to be that way. To the management (Blair Thompson).
Good luck if you have them as a warranty company. You'll need all the patience and time in the world to deal with the joke of a company.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Progressive Home Warranty. They are not impartial at all, frequently bending guidelines whenever it suits them. As a Black homeowner, I experienced treatment that was nothing short of racist and discriminatory. Their conduct was unacceptable and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Based on personal experience I could never recommend Progressive to anyone. Claims are poorly handled and drawn out due to constant misinformation or neglect by claim workers. There is no proper documentation for inspections on repairs required by them leaving home owners with no confidence that issues will not arise again despite the issues persisting for years.

My experience with Progressive Home Warranty has been absolutely dreadful. As a builder registered with their new Home Warranty program, I expected fair and equitable support when it came to resolving warranty claims. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality.

Progressive Home Warranty has shown a complete lack of support and cooperation for both builders and homeowners. Their staff, especially Joshua Griffith, have displayed an arrogant attitude and have been more interested in pushing for third-party contractors to complete repair work at exorbitant costs, rather than finding reasonable solutions.

If you are a builder, I strongly advise against registering with Progressive Home Warranty. Their lack of assistance and their close ties with third-party contractors will only lead to unnecessary complications and financial burdens. And if you are a homeowner considering them as your warranty provider, I urge you to exercise caution. Based on my experience, they will not have your best interests at heart.

Save yourself the frustration and choose a reputable and reliable warranty provider instead. Progressive Home Warranty has proven to be unreliable and unhelpful throughout the claims process. Stay away from this company!

First time dealing with Progressive Home Warranty. We recently transferred the warranty into our name after purchasing a home. We had a couple issues and filed a claim. Immediately we received a response from the Adjuster Joshua Griffiths along with the home builder. The home builder rectified the issues within a reasonable amount of time. Joshua followed up confirming the file could be closed. I was impressed with how smooth the process was. Thanks to Progressive and the home builder!
