As someone afraid for decades to go to dentists, I finally had to get work done. I dreaded it, lost sleep over it, it was an ordeal I'd been avoiding so long. To my surprise, the experience is pleasant. The staff are friendly, my dentist so nonjudgmental
. I began to think I might manage. Each time I visit, my confidence renews because I know he won't hurt me. Also because of my terrors, leftovers of earlier dentistry, I get Atavan which works! I now consider keeping on top things

Is this a dentist or dictator?
2022: Dr Ko and Xrays:
Xrayed the same tooth 3 times, missing each time. THEN he INSISTED several times I get a "panorex" XRAY {to make up for the poor xray skills of ONE TOOTH}. Each time I refused the panorex. Ignoring my "no." then my "no thanks" & then finally stopping after my loud "NO" is that a sign of listening to a client smug self-importance?
The dentist who used to own the clinic took pictures of the tooth and consulted the client. When I mentioned the camera & consultation process to Dr. Ko, he reached ove, showed me the camera-tool and said "oh this?" then he said "we don't use that". Does a dictator consult? Does a dictator INSIST?

2022: I asked Dr. Ko about a front tooth that had a little cavity in it. He said "It needs a crown, $1,200."
2023 = Same front tooth {That Ko said "needs a crown"} & TWO OTHER TEETH worked on by a different dentist in town = $900. Other dentist did an EXCELLENT JOB on the "needs a $1,200 crown" & the two other teeth!

2021: Dr. Ko had an assistant who:
Used a back tooth as a lever for a metal tool to pull a tooth, Result: tooth that was used as a "lever" was damaged, had to have the damaged {by the METAL tool} tooth pulled later on that year.
Same assistant who: "try to save" a loose tooth & pushed sooo hard on the tooth he changed the tooth angle, resulting in pain every time I ate something. Went back to find out what exactly was the goal for the "saving the tooth" was. I was told that the assistant "moved to Vancouver".
I mentioned the pain & poor surgery to the lady at the front counter who gave the response "you where consulted".
CONSULTED?
NO MENTION that soo much brute-force would be used on my tooth that it would loosen my tooth, change the angle to be in the way of my tongue & be painfull untill I got it pulled several months later.
NO MENTION that my back tooth would be used as a lever with a METAL tool before the surgery.

2020 or earlier: Dr. Ko did a filling on top of a tooth {a filling that resembled a thin pancake on top of a cone, Like a pancake over-extending around the top of the cone (cone = small tooth) }. I bit an almond and the lever-action of the edge of the "pancake" broke the tooth. I guess he thought "more area to bite onto = good job"? Maybe in dentist-fiction-land. In the real world a lever is used to amplify force.
Support staff of "non-dentists" are pleasant & so is Dr. Ko.

Do you trust your teeth to a dictator & "apprentices" who lack correct-consultation-proceedures ?

They take forever on approvals from insurance. My tooth cracked in the middle of a root canal so I went out of town to get it repaired instead of getting it done here and they're approvals moved a lot faster than this place. ? the other place was more professional too. My husband also got a root canal and they didn't even have it on file or have a planned approval to complete this root canal they worked on. They work on root canals but take forever to complete it. Risking people having their teeth crack. Better yet, they don't even have it on file lol. so unorganized and we are never coming here again after everything is completed. disappointing compared to other places you could go.
