The canoe/kayak rentals were a little over-priced for the experience that you got. It was $30 per canoe for 1 hour plus the $21 entry fee to the park (per vehicle). The staff were friendly and helpful at getting you set up with your canoe and getting it into the water, but the river/creek that you’re supposed to canoe down isn’t very scenic. Don’t expect to swim in the water either.

Right at the center of the park and steps are very straight forward. We did a 2 hr canoe and got to explore a lot. The scenic canal is very serene and calm compared to other parks I have been at, plus fishes, turtles, dragonfly sightings along with beautiful water lilies in the marsh. Definitely recommend anyone visiting the park to take part.

Straightforward and easy. Fill out the waiver and head down to get your life jacket. Staff will go over rules of the water in your canoe or kayak. River is calm, long and wide for plenty of room to row. Gorgeous views. Highly recommend as an addition to your camping trip. Only downside is the queue is quite long at the start but worth it.

Was my first kayaking experience and loved it.

Pinery provides amazing service, helpful staff and lowest rates for kayak and canoes.
Highly recommend this to someone who have never had any experience with kayaks or canoes.

DO NOT ever take your kids or person who do not know swimming here. There is NO quick protocol followed to save anyone. No one came to save a kid with family even after 30 minutes and when you ask the folks who work there they tell you that’s what you signed and agreed in rental agreement.

I went there last weekend and both my wife and I slipped while getting on/off the kayak and the guys holding kayaks seemed least bothered. Our friends had had to come and save us while the guys who are supposed to help customers laughed about it. Saw another lady slipped twice at the same day and yet the guys wouldn't move a muscle to help.
I doubt they are gonna do anything about it knowing that they have monopoly in Pinery.
