I went to the hospital ER on my GP's advice for an xray. From the initial greeting from a volunteer at the door, through triage, the imaging centre and subsequent bone re-setting, I received excellent care.
All matters were clearly explained, the hospital was clean, all the staff I had contact with were professional, caring and kind.

Travelling from AB. Came in with complaints of radiating chest pain. Admissions team, triage nurse, and tx nurses and doctor were all very excellent and efficient.
Had to return next day for CT scan and that experience was also positive. In and out both days in a very timely manner. Thank you to the admin and medical staff at Penticton Regional Hospital.

Every interaction I have with Penticton Hospital has been positive. I had lab work today. The volunteers are amazing. Staff efficient. In and out in good time. The coffee shop was great too.

If I could give 0 stars for the emergency department I would. Never have I ever walked out of a hospital, Even during Covid. But this one takes the cake. I came into emergency with a fractured wrist and a child who had been vomiting and constipated for 5 days. I left with no care and a still sick child. I sat in the waiting room for 4 and a Half hours and then finally got moved into a room after watching a line of people who came in after me go in and out of emergency. After I got into a room I proceeded to sit for another 2.5 hours. I pressed the call button 4 times and watched the nurses sit at the desk and ignore it. When I went to the desk and talked to one of them they gave me a snarky look as if why would I be talking to them and said they could do nothing until the doctor sees my daughter. If you have an emergency you would be better off driving to the hospital in Oliver, an hour away.

Carla at the reception for the cast clinic is an absolutely terrible person and should lose her job. My girlfriend called her with a simple question and she answered the phone super rudely. Told her to call somewhere else when in reality she could’ve just answered the question. She just didn’t wanna have to actually do her job

Broke my tibia and fibula about 4 years ago. I ended up being off work for too long and losing my benefits. Then I could not afford physio. I am now never going to be 100%. I feel pain every day. Now my girlfriend has had the same injury. And she’s able to take her physio for free through the hospital. I wasn’t even informed this was an option. Honestly even if you’re bleeding out, it would be better to risk driving to Kelowna than be treated here

Brought my husband in Thursday in severe pain. We got in very shortly. Staff very very caring. Found out he had a 10mm kidney stone lodged in his urethra. Very serious. They were able to get him surgery on Saturday. This is on the Easter weekend.
Saturday Devon the nurse took great care of my husband. Dr Roy was fantastic.
Can’t say enough of the wonderful care❤️❤️❤️

The emergency room will only help you if they see you are about to die. They will let you sit for hours in pain. I asked doctor if they were understaffed and they told me no, only one doctors was on for the whole night. If you need immediate help express it as much as you can or you will not get helped.
