Mon coup de coeur du voyage! Ce n'est pas simplement une chasse à la baleine, c'est une croisière également! Nous l'avons fait à 16h30 et c'était super. Notre capitaine était fort sympathique et il voulait nous faire vivre un beau moment! Nous avons eu la chance de voir un banc de baleine pilot avec leurs petits. Elles sont passées très près de nous! La durée à été de près de 3h, ça vallait le coup!

On est à l'opposé des bateaux usines à touristes et nous avons vraiment apprécié cela, le capitaine était très sympa et le village de départ très joli. En revanche, nous n'avons eu aucune indication claire ni explication sur ce que nous allions voir (animaux, paysages, culture et histoire locale etc...). Nous avons eu le sentiment de faire un simple tour en bateau, un peu frustrant pour nous.

Une journée merveilleuse du 15 août faites de plein de rencontres des baleines pilotes d aigles de multiples oiseaux et des gens extraordinaires . Notre capitaine a été super drôle caustique et répondant à nos questions avec fugue et plaisir

Fantastic whale watching experience with Oshan Whale Watch!

We had a great time on the Oshan boat and were lucky with beautiful weather. The staff were extremely friendly, and the captain even came over a few times to check on and pet our pup, so it’s safe to say they’re very pet-friendly!

The ride out to the ocean was a bit bumpy, so if you’re prone to seasickness, taking some Gravol ahead of time is a good idea. That said, we actually enjoyed the cool water splashes on such a hot day!

The first hour was peaceful and scenic, and just when we thought we might not see any whales, the crew spotted one, and from there, we saw at least ten more! The captain even dropped a microphone underwater so we could hear the whales “talking,” which was such a magical touch.

The staff was very knowledgeable. We went on a bit of a windy day, but staff assured all would be okay and the boat is coast guard approved and safe, but it can get abit rocky out in open ocean. Bring a rain jacket and expect splash or two!

Even with the weather conditions, we still successfully saw multiple pilot whales and a few seals! The staff went out of the way to make sure we had a great experience, stopped at every opportunity to see whales, even in the return. We had benefit having a PHD whale researcher explaining the behaviour and patterns of what we were seeing. Had an amazing time 10/10 would would recommend.

Highly recommend this tour! I was specifically looking for a boat tour instead of a zodiac due to my fear of small boats, so I was relieved to find this company. Just minutes after leaving the marina, we came across a pod of pilot whales, an incredible experience! We were lucky to have a marine biologist on board who answered all our questions and shared fascinating insights about the whales and their behavior.

After spending time with the pod, we explored other areas and spotted seals, a bald eagle, and several species of birds. I also learned that traditional boat tours are the more ethical choice, as zodiacs often get too close to the whales, which isn't recommended. These tours are about respectfully observing wildlife, not disrupting it, and this company clearly understands that.
