I usually save critical reviews for business' that behave in unethical ways. Not only is Okanagan Valley Insurance guilty of unethical business practices, it leans towards the criminal. Average people should know and have information about this business so as to be able to make informed decisions.

I had been a client of the owner for several years having used Okanagan Valley Insurance for several kinds of insurance.
On one day I receive a call from a collections agency saying I am delinquent on an account from Okanagan Valley Insurance. I call the owner immediately as I am currently using them for insurance on my two cars. The owner explains that he had sent me to collections as he couldn't contact me even though all of the contact info for me was current as we later found. I explained I hadn't so much as received a telephone call for this outstanding amount. The amount owing was for a policy that Okanagan Valley Insurance renewed without my permission. They could not produce any documents that showed any permission for what they were claiming or show that they had attempted to contact me for the amount that I was in arrears for. The staff hung the phone up on me mid conversation and refused to answer very logical and obvious questions that one would ask in a similar situation. In an effort to make this review as short as possibly, I would strongly suggest to not use this insurance agency. There are many out there and this business does not deserve your money. I had used them for several years and thought them to be fair and professional. But their unwillingness to correct a mistake on their part and exacerbate it by undeservedly involving a collections agency that utilizes bully tactics and harassment is truly unethical.
