An excellent experience for my 16-year-old daughter and I. Well organized and executed. Would do it again for sure... We did the 80 km.

Beautiful. No question about it. I rode my gravel bike and it was slightly underbiked which was surprising with 47mm tires. First 20 were perfect, last 20 were perfect. The other 40 had lots of surfaces more accustomed to a mountain bike. The views were all worth it. Thanks for the volunteers. If I do it again I’ll be pulling out the old mountain bike.

Well-supported, first class event. Excellent experience from the moment I registered to the food and music at the finish.

As other reviewers have already said, this is a fabulous event, well-organized from start to finish, and SOOOO fun!
However, I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that riders should be ready for a variety of surfaces, involving potholes, sand, gravel, and some BIIIIG puddles. The Youtubes show you the easier bits at the beginning and end, but a good portion of the route is on logging road and in the forest, which provided good shade on the hot day when I did it and, as a bonus, smelled fantastic. For most of the route, it's a gentle slope downwards , especially the last 40K, so elevation gain was not a challenge. For me, the new (to me) surfaces were difficult but surmountable. I loved this tour and will always remember it!

Beautiful ride but make sure you are prepared. The majority of the route is forest service road with large rocks, pot holes, and soft sand, pack lots of water and tubes. I would recommend having the widest tires you can, a mountain bike with at least front suspension, a full suspension bike would be best or a fat tire bike. If you can setup tubeless on your bike go that way. For the best experience DO NOT ride a cruiser, a touring bike, cyclocross bike, or road bike. A bike camping bike like the Fargo will work but with big tubeless tires.

A beautifully restored railway trestle which is still used for a tourist steam engine train. The start of a great hike on the rail bed of the Kettle Valley Railway

Amazing views and very nice bikes to tent. You get lots of time to casually bike the whole 24kms. 😊
