Great customer service and very competitive pricing. The warranty was 1/3 the price of the dealerships warranty and covered the same things. Emily Talma has excellent customer service. I never had to do a claim so I can’t speak to that part but everything else was great.

Amazing service by Sunny and he was able to answer as many questions I had for the product suitable for me. Obvi has one of the unique New car replacement or Better car replacement product. If you have recently bought a new or used vehicle from a dealer irrespective if you blindly signed on dealer docs for their insurance addons, then hurry Obvi got much flexible and economical products out there, pretty much nowhere in Canada you can find it.

Unbelievably quick and concise in all their dealings with me. Communications were great. Generally answers and replies were within minutes. I cancelled a 3 year policy after 4 months ,and received extremely fair payment to my account within 3 days of my initial request.I never felt as though, Sunny, the agent was hedging answers to my questions. Also ,day one ,he called me because he had answered a question incorrectly..I just purchased a different policy for a new car and will continue to deal with them for what ever of their products I might need in the future. Actually it was a pleasure dealing with several of their team.Thanks guys

Bought a used truck and wanted to get a third-party warranty for it. Since it was just over 120,000km, Obvi wanted an inspection and deficiencies repaired. Reasonable request.
Just over a month later, there is noise coming from the front end. Take it in and find that front hubs need replaced, front diff is in need of overhaul, and there needs to be repairs to the timing. $9,000 + worth of work.
None of this was found on their inspection, yet none or these repairs were going to be honored by Obvi, because I could not supply a detailed service record for the truck, which is almost impossible to do for a used vehicle.
I asked my agent what the point was in paying for a premium warranty if they never have any intention of covering the drive train, which he had no answer for. Cancelled the coverage, as it was useless to me, even though I had never acted in bad faith towards the company, and had repaired all deficiencies found before we entered into the warranty agreement. Take your money somewhere else, Obvi is happy to accept your payments, but will look for reasons to get out of honoring the warranty when you need them the most.
Edit: If vehicle maintenance history is so crucial to the warranty, should a provider not disclose to a potential customer that this may become a point of contention and most likely cause a denial when claims are made? How many people do you think would sign up for third-party warranty if they did?
I had two services done while I was still dealing with Obvi that didn’t show up on my vehicle’s maintenance record, and I bet 9/10ths of the original-owned vehicles on the road could not provide a perfect service/maintenance history, much less the second-hand vehicles.
Obvi was worse than no help- if I had no third-party warranty to begin with, the result would have been exactly the same, anyways, but with less grief and quicker results.
My advice: Skip third-party warranties altogether, they aren’t worth the trouble, and instead, put what you would pay for those premiums into a “rainy day fund” for actual repairs when they occur and hope for the best.

I purchased the elite warranty plan for my son's car and over the span of one year, he tried three times to use it and every time, Obvi would find an excuse not to cover his claims. We ended up cancelling the coverage since there was no point in paying for warranty when Obvi would always find a loophole and just deny it. I recommend you save your money and look elsewhere for coverage that will actually cover you when you need it.

I've had my Obvi plan on my SUV for a year now and finally had to make a claim for a repair. The process was simple, fast and I am extremely pleased with how it all went. Joe is great to deal with. I would definitely recommend this service if you are looking for a 3rd party warranty for your car.

I purchased a used vehicle from a dealership that doesn’t offer extended warranty so I had to go out and find a company that will sell extended warranty. Obvi has the best coverage options and more inclusions than other companies I compared with.

The team at Obvi have been incredible with assisting me for repair related matters. I had a not so pleasant experience with a dealership who did not seem to know what they were doing (lies and misinformation that were quickly shot down because Joe kept me in the loop of his communications with the dealership that could have left me without my vehicles for days). The team at Obvi kept me informed of my claim status, responded to calls or emails same day and processed approval for repairs faster and easier than I have witnessed with past providers. Joe was knowledgeable and prompt. This is my first time choosing Obvi as a provider for an extended policy. From what I could see, Obvi is Calgary based and we love to support local. I will be back for more coverage on future vehicles if this is how these folks operate.
