All of my children and myself have been going to Nuvo on Beechwood for years. I am uncomfortable when it comes to anything eyes - and the staff have always been patient and understanding. I just picked up my new "progressive" lenses and wanted to share how impressed I was with Dr. Jenna Braham who was amazingly kind with my son, and with myself with all my nerves. Thank you for years of excellent service and I will continue to recommend you to anyone who asks! (Great place for kids!)

Nuvo at beechwood are the best! I’m here almost every week for glasses adjustment. Mahdi is the best to do so! He’s gentile, patient and calm and will make sure that you leave happy with your glasses. Thank you!

I was happy to receive an appointment with an optometrist on the same day of my kitchen accident. However, I wanted to make sure there was no lasting damage to my eyes. I was not interested in a prescription for glasses. There was no need to torture already burnt, irritated and watering eyes with bright lights to assess for glasses. Everything looked blurry to me since my eyes were constantly watering. I also asked for a prescription medication to take to my pharmacy to ease the symptoms but received an over-the-counter version from their shelf that cost more than the doctor's fee. If you need glasses, I am sure this is a nice place with very pleasant staff.

I have been going to Nuvo Ottawa for years, and I am constantly impressed by the quality and the efficience of their service. Always very professional, polite, helpful, pleasant. They have helped with broken glasses (2 teenage boys;) on numerous occasions without charge, I have almost never had to wait when I had appointments, always pleased with the various optometrists. Merci pour vos excellents services!

The last time I was in and I have been going for years the optometrist kept pushing the rest chin part so I could get my chin up more and more into my gut to say that perhaps I had too big a stomach for the machine. I had to keep adjusting myself and in my opinion as I have some limited mobility could not get my chin in correctly.
Then previously a sort of tech did my eyes but I was given no real explanation of what was going on. Clearly he was not trained properly as the Optometrist had to show him a few times.
The secretary was nice.

And as I still need a referral to the Ottawa Eye Institute in the hospital and not a private clinic I am waiting for a call on my return from Holidays on June 1st 2024.

I am only giving a 2 star as a one star is in order for not adjusting the seat for me to be tested properly. It really hurt my stomach area.

My experience with Nuvo Optometry has been incredibly disappointing.

I reached out via email to inquire about booking appointments, and when I didn’t get a reply, I followed up with more emails and even called the clinic directly. Despite multiple attempts to get in touch, I never received any kind of response — not even a quick acknowledgment.

For a healthcare provider, especially in eye care, this level of unresponsiveness is unprofessional. If they can’t be bothered to answer messages or return calls from someone looking to become a patient, it raises serious concerns about how they treat actual patients.

I’ve since taken my family business elsewhere to a clinic that actually communicates and values people’s time.

Based on this experience, I can’t recommend Nuvo Optometry and won’t be considering them again..

I called this morning to make an appointment for contact lenses and the receptionist over the phone was very short and had quite an attitude over the phone. It was never like this in the previous years and I hope she works on her customer service skills over the phone.
