Extremly dissapointed with North Star Travel. We booked a Cuba trip for my wife's 50th birthday with two other couples through North Star. The resort was great, but Sunwing did what they do best and really disrupted our vacation by moving up the departure time 8 hours and the return flight by 4 hours, along with about a dozen delays that ended up costing us about 3 days from our 7 day vacation. I though by booking through a travel agent, they would 'have our back', but it couldn't be more from the truth. Chris told us to 'go to the Sunwing site and look up travelers rights, etc. Other folks who were at the resort told us their travel agents were filing claims and following up with Sunwing for compensation, while ours did not. There were a number of other things like booking us in the same area as our group, inquiring about extending our vacation, etc that we were given the run around by Chris on. After it was all over, I did reach out to North Star Travel and left two voice mail messages for 'Judy' who I'm told is the manager/owner. After the first call wasn't returned, I called again and left VM for her a second time two weeks later (assuming maybe she was on vacation). Three weeks later, no return call. Don't buy into their 'If you book yourself, you're on your own' pitch...They'll still leave your on your own. This will be our first and last time booking with North Star Travel

I called to gather information and make plans for a family trip to Disney for the holidays. Gave the woman (Chris) my information. It's been a week and I have yet to hear back. Obviously not very interested in helping me.

UPDATE....I still haven't heard back. Made my travels plans elsewhere!

Hours are beyond ridiculous..people work n can't go in at their hours. It would make more sense for them to be open on the weekends only.
