North Island Marina in Post McNeil is probably the best marina we’ve been to in a very long time. The service is top notch. They actually bring fuel right to your boat! Super friendly, helpful staff.
Groceries, ice, liquor, restaurants and a pub all close by. Everyone we encountered in the town were super friendly and seemed genuinely pleased we were there. We will definitely plan to come back next year.

We had a great first time experience here at NIM, spending three nights as we had a big "to do" list. Will made us welcome and he and his staff were great and very helpful with garbage runs and propane tank fills and especially great with our animals ? The younger guys working the fuel dock are hard working and helpful.
Some amazing vessels viewed here including Merry Chase and Columbia III. Also the magnificent Oasis.
Port McNeill itself is a delightful small town feel but with decent services. Most people are pretty friendly and were sweet with our pitbull. The folks at C A B Industrial Auto Supply and Windsor Plywood were great and deserve a mention.
We bought groceries, replaced a battery and a battery charger. Prices were reasonable. Fuel is up but NIM may offer a discount on big fills on diesel.
Call NIM in advance as they are very busy as they have the only fuel dock until Port Hardy. They monitor 66A.
Enjoy.

On our passage North to Alaska we needed 2 days ashore to provision, refuel, and launder. The staff at North Island Marina were outstanding. From assisting us tying off our boat at both the fuel dock and our moorage slip, delivering our refilled propane tank, and ensuring the facilities worked, our stay was enjoyable.
Easy walk to key stores into town.
Although we didn't use the marina showers I was told by another boater that the shower facility was not well kept.
The laundry facility had half their machines inoperable and the laundromat wasn't well kept or clean. The gentleman from the neighboring marine store graciously refunded me the loonies I'd lost in inoperable machines.

My family and I boated up from Powell River recently and moored our boat here. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff.

The dock was well tended to, there were plenty of wheel barrows for transport and everyone was so helpful, always had a smile on their face and was willing to go above and beyond for every customer. They even had creamsicles for the kids!

Thanks for the stay, we will be back!

Day 16. this location has much to offer but, I personally didn't care for the setup. The marina is friendly and welcoming, you can fuel right at your dock space, there is a well stocked grocery store with a deli counter, and two coffee shops. The restrooms are a long walk and the marina doesn't always unlock the trash & recycle bin. We stayed four days to wait out a storm.

The highlight of this location is Sointula. Take the short ferry ride over and you are transported to a different environment. It feels like a beach town on the Florida coast. Museum, coffee shop, handmade souvenir store.

We always go into Port McNeill for fuel and groceries. This year I chose to overnight at the North Island Marina for a change and because I believe that Canadian boaters need to support the private marinas as much as they can, the border being closed to US boaters.
Great marina. It has free wifi. Garbage drop-off. Most of all, the marina staff are efficient and friendly.
See you later in the summer. And see you next year too.
