Everything was amazing! From the owner of the property! And the views not to mention the coziness, and any problem we were faced with texted Melanie and she helped right away! There was a kitty there named Bonnie she's amazing and loving , make sure to love her when you stay at these wonderful cabins! But overall I couldn't have asked for a better night. Romantic, cozy and felt like home. I can't wait to come back!

A serene property by the lake hosted by Melanie and her family. Had a great time watching wildlife and enjoying the ensuite jacuzzi. Melanie is a great host and the cabin is a perfect place to wind down and relax. The town of Brandon is about 20 mins away if you need any essentials or would prefer to dine out.

This was a birdwatcher's paradise as well as a fantastic place for couples to get away from the hubbub of city life. With the wetland serving as our backyard, I was amazed at the diversity of bird species to admire in the area. Yellow-headed and red-winged blackbirds, warblers, sora, least flycatchers, warbling vireos, coots, yellowthroats, a loon, a bald eagle, cedar waxwings, starlings, swallows, a Baltimore oriole, and more!

I was delighted that the hosts left a good quality set of binoculars and we spent lots of time on the deck out back. If you don't already have it, the Merlin Bird ID app will take a recording of the birdsong to tell you what to look for if you're a nerd for the bird. I'd never heard a yellow-head and I thought someone was hiding and whistling a tune!

The walking pathway was scenic and fragrant, we checked it out once in the afternoon and again in the evening. We enjoyed trying out both the canoe and row boat. The paddles and lifejackets were stored in such a way that they were well-aired out and easy to find. A bonus to boating was spotting painted turtles sunning themselves. I had been crossing my fingers that we'd visit during firefly season. Lo and behold, the magical little star beetles lit up the night when the sun went down!

The cabin was just right. It smelled deliciously of wood, and it was clean, airy, and well laid-out for a couple. There was a BBQ, a plug-in griddle, a hot plate, a toaster, a microwave, and a coffee-maker (with the fixings minus fresh cream). Whatever you plan to whip up for your romantic night in (or romantic morning after) it's achievable. We didn't take advantage of the fireplace or fire pit, but it certainly had us dreaming about an autumn or winter visit. This service definitely lived up to it's claim of a private little hideaway. The astounding variety of wildlife was a pleasant surprise!

Very cute cabin only a short distance from Brandon. Perfect for a romantic couples weekend to get away from the business of life. Love the small details like shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the shower, soft fluffy towels and dvd selection. Best part was soaking in the warm bubbly jacuzzi. My only complaint was the bed even though we enjoyed the large size it was to hard for my liking. Would recommend for any couple needing to just get away

I can't say enough good things about this precious little gem! The management are extremely helpful! What a brilliant idea to make such an amazing getaway for people to relax. I didn't have to sleep much to feel as rejuvenated as I do! It was so peaceful that I was able re-energize! Looking forward to our next visit!

I am absolutely blown away by this little hideaway in the woods. It completely exceeds my expectations! If you're looking for a little piece of heaven, Natures Hideaway is where you need to come. Will definitely be back as often as we can!

My wife and I stayed here for the first time celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. We'd definitely recommend it to others, and fully plan to go again. It's beside a quiet little lake or marsh.
