Been going on this hike since I was a kid and it never disappoints. Easy to moderate hiking with plenty of options for paths to take. Only thing I wish that I have is for the maps at the kiosks is a clearly defined “you are here” marking on them, just to make them easier to use.

Nice little hike to a couple of lookouts over the Chilliwack valley and Cultus lake. Short uphill scramble from this parking lot. I came here in the fall, so there was little foliage and better views of the surrounding mountains and landscape, including Mount Cheam.

As far as overall trail experience, it was very good. However, due to the prevalence of spear grasses and exposure to my coated dogs, I have given a 4 star rating for the summer experience.

This is a great walk in the park. But please remember you are 2 hours away from the city and you should tell someone where you are going and at least be prepared. No outdoor activity should ever be taken lightly. I will stop once no one gets left behind.
Plenty of parking
Leash your dog
Pick up after your dog
Be aware of your surroundings.
Take water
If you decide to walk om Horse Loop the rules are simple pull over out of the way hold your dog make him it her sit.
No sudden movements and be calm and wait til the horse and rider pass you.. NO MATTER WHERE OR WHAT TRAIL YOU THE CYCLIST THE HIKER W/ DOG DO NOT NEVER WILL HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY!!
(Not yelling)
Take out what you brought in.
All trails connect and the look out has a very nice view of Cultas Lake to the left and Fraser River ahead and Chilliwack City. Lovely day when we went.
Scattered throughout the trails are benches to sit and look and have a snack.

All trails in total are about 1hr return. The longest trail is Kaziert and Promontory your looking at about 1.4km return.

Trail assessed at Easy
Elevation approx 588m
Technical trail no easy flat and well tended to
Trail Markers at every corner well laid out
There are 3 information boards to give you a map and directions and a bit of of history.
Bring water for your dog, there is a creek but in case I would bring water.
This is a great walk and can and will encourage kids to become a hiker..
