Un hôtel très beau, sauf que c'était TRÈS chaud, et l'air conditionnant a requis le recommencement chaque quatre heurs, alors c'était toujours le cas que je me réveille très chaud dans le milieu du nuit

Beautiful 3 story historic home. Rooms are very nice and well appointed furniture/decor. Access to a full kitchen with appliances and dining necessities. No meals are served but guests have full access to all the meal paraphernalia and a gorgeous dining room. Close to Water Street harbour, shopping, and banks for currency exchange. Definitely recommend.

As the former home of a premiere of Newfoundland it did not disappoint. It has gently winding staircases, many beautiful works of art, we'll situated common areas for relaxing, and a spacious dinning room. The kitchen is available for use and we'll stocked with all the conveniences of home. We visited near the end of the off season and the facility was quiet and peaceful. The staff were pleasant, available as needed and discreet. There is some parking available to the side and in front of the facility. Monroe House is close to the down town area within walking distance to Quidi Vidi, Signal Hill, Bannerman park, restraunts, a coffee shop, and more. We really enjoyed our visit and would like to come again.

Very nice...Bonnie and Eric were very helpful and attentive. Room is nice and cozy. Have access to full kitchen and can prepare meals if you choose to do so.The house is very close to Duckworth St. which is one of the main streets in St.Johns. which accesses Water St. Enjoyed our stay immensely and will return in the future.

Would highly recommend Monroe House to anyone visiting St. John's! The location is central to most places we wanted to see. All within 20 minutes walk from the site.
Mark and Julia were amazing hosts and accommodated our late check in, which was very much appreciated!

Less than five minutes from downtown St John's, super close to restaurants and coffee shops. Rooms are lovely and the owner is delightful and super helpful.
