I came to Liberty Staffing full of motivation, inspired by their glowing online reputation. Their promises of opportunity and second chances felt like exactly what I needed. I believed in that mission. I believed I’d be seen.

Instead, I walked away invisible.

I was open about my story. After 48 years living across Europe, Brazil, the U.S., and Canada without a single brush with the law, I suddenly found myself burdened with a criminal record—not because I was guilty, but because I accepted a plea deal pushed on me by an overworked legal aid and a system that values closure over truth. I wasn't jailed. I wasn’t a danger. But I wasn’t told that by accepting their offer, I'd be branded in a way that would cost me housing, opportunity, and dignity.

If I had known the full weight of that decision? I’d have told them exactly where they could shove that “deal.”

Still, I walked into Liberty Staffing with full transparency. I had energy, skills, and a hunger to work. I didn’t ask for special treatment—just a chance. I was told I'd get a follow-up email before I even made it home. That email never came. Not that day. Not four months later. Nothing.

What does it say about an agency that claims to "always have something to offer," yet offered me zero? Not even the courtesy of a reply.

And this goes beyond just me. I’m part of this society. I shop where you shop. I pay rent. I feed myself and my cat. I want to contribute—not hide in the shadows or survive off the government. But how does someone move forward if the door slams shut before they even step through it?

Liberty Staffing, I challenge you to look at the gap between your image and your impact. Your reviews reflect hope. Your actions left me hollowed out.

This isn’t an attack. It’s a plea—for accountability, not just for me, but for every person who’s been denied because of a label that doesn’t define them.

I’m still here. Still trying. Still worth the chance you never gave me.
