Nice place to visit with kids if you are in Grand Bend. Just 15 mins drive from the beach. There is fee to visit the place. Better to buy family ticket. Place is well maintained and have many old artifacts. However not everything on display.

There are 3 sections to visit - local items from the past, history of the regions and old buildings in the backside. Truly great to see the rich history of the region.

Be careful about bugs in the backside. Some fly bit my daughter on hand and it got swallow next day. Nothing serious but be careful.

A truly great little museum with a handful of heritage buildings on site. We stopped in during a camping trip at the Pinery. We were pleasantly surprised by its modern galleries, including an open storage gallery and a newly added gallery about local history. It was also fun to explore the trail out back, and we were quite impressed by the garden map of the region out front. 5/5 must check out!

Amazing visit to the museum today. Went to check out the Italian Canadian immigrants to Sarnia Lambton Exhibit they have on till the end of June. The exhibit is based on a book called One by one. Passo Dopo Passo. Written by Caroline DiCocco. In this book is the story of how my grandfather Antonio Astolfi came to Canada in the 1920’s and what his life was like in the Sarnia area. Meeting the author and seeing pictures of my grandfather and grandmother blown up for display was something I will cherish for many many years. Thank you to the museum for bringing this exhibit to life!

Located just a few minutes from The Pinery Provincial Park, And about 10 minutes south of Grand Bend, this museum features the history of Lambton County. Newly renovated, the main room is now bright, well lit with new exhibits featuring the families, lifestyles, businesses and industries, and pastimes of families since it was settled.

Outside in the back are many buildings - A church, schoolhouse both moved from their original sites when they are closed, located in Lambton, along with a big building filled with vehicles and farming artifacts, And other information of farm families 30 years. The one building, we stayed there for over an hour, so interesting! Is wooded with a network of pathways. Bring a picnic if you want. Wheelchair accessible

Back inside the building, to the right of the entrance is a Collection Room.

Very interesting place.

For the year of 2024, admission is free to celebrate Lambton's 150th anniversary!

Nice and quiet with lovely staff members.
We were there on Sunday. We were headed to Grand Bend and thought of stopping by.
The place is wonderful; clean, and quite.
There is a picnic area with picnic tables, historic artifacts and buildings.
We parked our cars, had our brunch, took photos and headed to Grand Bend.

The museum had some excellent displays out on what wild animals lived in Lambton. The outdoor birds of prey was an excellent surprise too.
