Absolutely lovely resort, with beautiful grounds amazing waterfront views and clean and inviting cottages. We loved that it was only 5 minutes away from the Bridal Veil Falls and only a short drive to both Gore Bay lookouts and Cup and Saucer Trail. The owners are lovely people who will make you feel like you're a part of a Manitoulin family. We were looking for a place to escape from COVID lockdowns and found a gorgeous hideaway to come back to, time and time again. We can't wait to see it during the fall season when the colours turn. Thank you!

This resort is the best place we could find in Manitoulin island.

Cabins are clean and organized, 4 of them are right at the lake, each has its own fire pit and barbecue, heating system and fan in case it’s too hot.

Location of the resort is also very good. 3-5 minutes ride to Bridal Veil Waterfall, LCBO, Gas station, Coffee shop, farmers market and more.

But the most important part is the owner’s’ attitude and care. Both of them are very nice and doing their best for guests. It seems like they are doing this business for not making an income but for their joy.

We had a minor issue during our stay, but they went above and beyond to solve it and satisfy all of us.

We've been to Lakeview Resort in August of 2014, and Again July 9-16th this year in 2016 with our family, We booked a few cottages for close to 15-17 People. A mix of all Ages and I can say it is one of the most family friendly fun environments. Shawn (who helped with our booking) was wonderful including the owners who live in a cottage a few minutes away, all extremely nice and helpful people. There are multiple cottages all spaced out nicely, a small sandy badminton/volleyball court, BBQ Machines, Kids Playground, Swings & Slides, Firepits, Dock and plenty of grass area to have fun. There are a few nice sand beaches not too far of a drive away, amazing Bridal Veil Falls less than a few minutes drive, and many other great areas to explore including Gore Bay and Kagawong's Famous Ice Cream Parlour and of course a few boat launches. ||||The Accommodation, isn't obviously a 5-star hotel, it's just a place to crash, sleep, change, clean up..... if your focus, like us, is to be outdoors and enjoy the true meaning of a cottage, then this is for you. If you want to stay indoors and enjoy the comfort of a Hilton Hotel, I'd recommend to look elsewhere.||||Kagawong Lake is terrific for boating and swimming, ultra clear waters. Great for Fishing too, quick to hook on lots of perch, bass, catfish, pike etc... however no trophy fish. We drove from Toronto, if you go non-stop can probably do it in 5Hrs or 6.5-7Hrs with Breaks. Some of the group went via Tobermory Ferry, They recommend it for the experience however in terms of time will take just as long.||||We'll be sure to return at least once a year!

My family & I spent two days at this resort (business & pleasure). One of the owners who was on site was very polite and welcoming. The resort was opened ahead of schedule to accomodate wedding guests & therefore he was tyding things up for the beginning of their season. They have made improvements to their sites and they plan to continue to upgrade. The location is actually quite picturesque. We were satisfied with our use of the cabin, shower worked fine, the beds were comfortable.

Great family environment, crystal clear waters, great fishing, most (if not all) cabins have a nice firepit, well spaced out, amazing stargazing just an overall great place to wind down. Most importantly, the owners and staff, especially Shawn, are so welcoming and helpful and really make your stay that much more enjoyable. We've been going here for almost 5-6 years.

A fantastic, quiet place with different sized cabins to accommodate whatever your needs are. The cabins are very close to the water and there is lots of room for children to play, and there is even some play equipment. Shan is very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time here and will definitely be back again.

We went here in summer 2020 to escape from COVID and staying at home too much and it was such a relaxing experience. The owner has a bunch of canoes and life jackets so it’s fun staying here. We made a tent so we could stargaze at night and it was such clear skies! I’m really longing to go back and would definitely go back to the Lakeview Resort!
