I am extremely disappointed with how filthy this hospital is, an absolutely unsanitary environment. Along with being filthy, it also leaves medical equipment unattended and within reach of anyone passing by. The room my mother was placed in clearly wasn't cleaned even a little bit since the last however many people have been in it. With trash everywhere and dirty linens.

The nurses taking blood should either be retrained or know when to ask a colleague for assistance if they're having a hard time finding a vein. My mother was left bruised up after 8 attempts (she has small veins) before another nurse came and got it on the first try. She was then left with no shower and no food for 2 days while her surgery and info about her surgery kept getting pushed back. It took me getting... we'll say, FIRM with a nurse before someone came in with products needed for her to at least have a bed bath.

There are definitely more pictures I could post and more I could go on about, but I would be writing until tomorrow. Needless to say, if it can be helped, we'll never use Ajax Hospital again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. They should be shut down or hire completely new staff.
I was feeling pain and nausea and went to the emergency. In the ambulance firstly, the paramedic told me there’s not really much I can do if you aren’t currently feeling the symptoms. I can still take you to the hospital and put you the fast track program. I said sure thinking it would make a difference, it didn’t. I was waiting just alongside everyone else.

They took blood, did an ECG, etc and they told me after triage to go register, I went to the registration desk and the girl told me to wait to be called. I waited for another half hour or hour and went to the other lady at the front desk and she didn’t even know I was waiting to be called. Then I was eventually called but only to be put in another room that looked like it was an abandoned room in the hospital alongside other patients since apparently they didn’t have any beds or stretchers to spare. Don’t even make me talk about the uncomfortable chairs.
Waited, waited, and did more waiting. In the end, my pain and tirelessness just got worse and decided to go home so I can at least be comfortable. I couldn’t even drink or eat anything because the nurses didn’t even know whether the doctor would give permission and the doctor was nowhere to be found clearly. After I told a nurse that I’d like to go, i heard one of the other nurses near him say something along the lines of “there another bed empty” since she heard I was leaving. Like, does she thinks she works at a great hospital? I started waiting for him to tell me when I will be out of the system. 10 mins go by, nothing said by him. Then I asked him if he took me out of the system? He said yes, like could he tell me when he does it and not when I have to ask again?! Literally, are these nurses qualified to work in a hospital.

Don’t go here!

I recently had surgery this past week at Ajax hospital. My experience was the best I’ve had in a hospital. It was very clean and organized. Observing the staff as I waited they were all getting along and working as a TEAM helping each other no matter what was happening around them . And EVERY single staff I saw (including porters/cleaning/volunteer staff) was helpful and kind to the patients as well as each other. Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and eager to help all patients I could see. Literally the best experience i’ve ever had in a hospital Thank you very much Ajax! Amazing!!!!

I took my 4yr old to the ER and waited for 8hrs and then the doctor recommended to see the hospital pediatrician the following day! Booked the appointment for 2pm but the doctor only attended around 7pm (waited 5hrs)! Then I had a follow-up the next Day and waited for another 6hrs! This pediatrician is the slowest I ever seen in my life! She is continuously chatting with the nurses n taking too many breaks! They need to have a better process in place to book appointments n handle patients! Please avoid this place if u can ?

This review pertains to the Mental Health wing on the 3rd floor, where I am an outpatient. It is a difficult experience seeking help for mental illness, but this clinic has dynamically changed my life. Sandy, the receptionist that I regularly book my appointments with, is like a ray of sunshine. She really brightens up the office and is so helpful and friendly. Dr O, who is my psychiatrist, is hands down the best doctor I have met in my life, regardless of specialty. He is extremely professional while also being compassionate and dedicated to helping his patients fight to live their best lives. I would not be alive today without their help. Thank you so much for all your hard work. You guys are my heroes.

I can’t say enough great things about our recent visit. We had a planned c section for the birth of our daughter last Wednesday. Everyone from intake, to nurses, anesthesia team, Dr Rubabaza and the paediatrician Dr Harry were incredible. Professional, kind, patient centred care every step of the way. We cannot thank you enough.

Having had day surgery under general anesthesia, I was completely satisfied with my experience throughout the day. Everyone who I encountered from the volunteers helping me get settled in, to the the nurses in pre-and post op, the surgeon, the anaesthetists and the others in the OR was exceptional. I was very impressed and felt like I was in good hands throughout a very stressful experience.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the emergency care I recently received at your facility. My experience was marred by both inadequate medical attention and unprofessional behavior from a staff member.

On Aug 28th, I arrived at the emergency department seeking for medical assistance. Unfortunately, I encountered a staff member who was not only unhelpful but also rude. Their demeanor was dismissive and lacked empathy, significantly worsening an already stressful situation. This staff member's behavior was unprofessional and in stark contrast to the level of care and respect I expected from your institution. She was at the reception from the early morning shift and seems very unhappy with what she does.

Additionally, the overall handling of my emergency was unsatisfactory. There was a considerable delay in receiving necessary treatment, and communication about my condition and the steps being taken was insufficient.
The hospital should address these issues to prevent other patients from experiencing similar distress. Hoping that female staff member should should get adequate training for not repeating this behavior.
