THE SS MOYIE STERNWHEELER HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS A NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE...when entering this beautiful city any look around this community encompasses the lakeside museum of the oldest intact passenger-carrying sternwheel steamer in the world...this Sternwheeler worked on Kootenay Lake from 1898 until 1957...

Such a beautiful ship! I'm always so impressed by how well maintained it is. Definitely a great step into the past, with such cool displays of all sorts of old things. I would definitely recommend checking this out, it's such a nice boat and the items in it are really neat to see!

Really interesting display! Covid protocols are in effect and helped us to feel more comfortable and relaxed while walking through the venue and visitor centre. Tickets were affordable and contribute to the maintenance of the museum. Definitely worth a visit!

Very small visitor's center. The people who work there are very helpful and full of information. Worth the stop!
