It was an absolute gem of a tour! Dave, our driver/tour guide, was knowledgeable, accommodating, and super friendly. All the tour stops had great (some, amazing) picture moments and it was helpful when Dave offered to take some of them of my husband and me.

Would definitely recommend this tour if you don’t have a car to drive around yourself—but even if you do, this tour helps you scout out which locations may be worth it to come back to. We found ourselves wanting to stay in Cape Spear a little longer.

The tour van itself was very comfortable and roomy, and also, that cold bottle of water Dave offers sure does come in handy after the stop in Cape Spear! A bonus was the other guests on the tour—everyone was super nice!! It was a great overview and intimate tour for a smaller group. 5/5!!!!

5x stars enthusiastically!!
I have been all over NS, NB recently and didn't appreciate the Maritimes until landing on this tour with Dave.

It wasn't just getting to see more than the 'must do' sites. It was plus all the other thoughtful things:

Perfectly timing our visit to Petty Harbour with the cod fisherman just coming in and fileting the cod.... maybe even for my lunch at the Dave recommended Duke of Duckworth. Where the Fish & Chips was my BEST (so fresh, so light and flakey) meal on the east coast - and I was (fine) dining every other meal!

A flexible visit to Cape Spear, the most Easternly point in North America, with time to climb and learn as we needed... I got a lot of insight from the Seniors I met at the canons and learned that German submarines really did come in here... something history class never mentioned.

I could've hiked up to Signal Hill on my own, but then I might not have met the majestic Newfoundland Dog, Sable whom Dave knew was often there at THAT time for his open air brushing.

Statistics, history, culture, sentiments, politics, industry, employment, and traditions ... like mummering and screeching that even my local co-workers didn't know the fine details about but I was able to parlay thanks to Dave's tutelage during our highly memorable 'three hour tour' :0)

5 Stars – A Tour to Remember!
We had the absolute pleasure of taking a tour with Jellybean Tours, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. Dave was fantastic., personable, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the experience feel less like a tour and more like an adventure with a friend who just happens to know everything about the area. His passion for the region really came through, and he added so many little touches that made it feel truly special. Highly recommend booking with Jellybean Tours—you won’t regret it!

Dave has to be the purest soul in Canada. He was so accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. We were 10 guys and he took us all around to great must see spots you couldn’t otherwise get to. Dave knows exactly how long to spend at each spot and good secrets for where to go all over town. What an adventure, contagious laughter and great company. Thanks Dave. I would add photos but I don’t want to spoil the beautiful scenery!

This is awesome!!
My tour-guide was Jeff and I have to point out how incredibly nice it was.
I loved all the places we visited and everything Jeff told us about St. John’s and the area.
It is very nice to get a tour from a local - really special!
Jeff is such a nice, fun and kind person. He even offered different drop-off’s back in St. John’s when it was on the way.

By the end we also got some traditional St. John’ candy which Dave’s wife lovingly arranged.

This tour was outstanding! 🙂

Dave is an excellent guide, and this tour takes in all the best locations. As they say, the smaller minivan gets to locations a big bus can’t. Spent an excellent 2 1/2 hours seeing all the main sites in one go, with time to explore each. It’s great to have someone who knows St John’s and how to get around it as a tour guide.
Highly recommend.
