This place has the best paint colour matching machine in town. I've tried them all that I know of...rona, Windsor plywood, but home hardware gets it the closest every time.

WE are new to WL and from the very first experience this franchise is by far the worst service. They make you feel belittled, unwelcome, and god forbid if you ask for assistance. If I could give them -10 thats my rating. I would be embarrassed. Recently we bought a mallard duck, the first was all scratched up so I kindly called and requested for a replacement. They obliged, then I go and pick it up, the register girl was very good, but the follow that brought the exchange up... His comments were not you again, I looked at him perplexed and said no this is my first exchange? He continued to look down at me. I reluctantly asked to look to see if was any better. Right off the bat a scratch above the eye. I was SO embarrassed and unwelcome by this clerk I could not get out fast enough. Will NEVER shop there again.

Somewhat reasonable selection, prices high but occasionally good sales.
Seem to go out of their way to hire the most sullen surly young people to work the till though. Generally unpleasant shopping experience.

I like home hardware but I rarely get service there unless I seek it out and in that store you need it! When I do seek it out the service I get is great! They even brought in cooper pipe that isn't up to code here in BC for my mom and I to use to make wind chimes out of if we would sign a waver saying we would never use it in buildings! It worked perfect and saved us $25 since we bought 10 10foot lenghts! They even cut it for us for free when it came in cause we only had a sedan at the time. See great service, we just had to find a person to ask!

Everyone needs to know about the worst experience I've ever had, dealing with this store. I wanted to purchase a cement coating for the front steps + patio of our home as we had listed it for sale. I chose a product called "Granite", however the salesman ordered the wrong product that is called Hard rock. Not at all even close to the same thing. It had to be ordered as this location never has anything in stock and never has any items shown in the sales flyers. I knew this store is poorly managed but wanted that specific product. When the product finally arrived, I picked it up at the store, the salesman put the boxes of primer, coating + sealer in my vehicle. He did not check the product, offer to mix/shake the product, DID NOT tell me that this product must be tinted before using! ( the Granite I wanted did not need tinting) and did not offer me the instruction DVD that I was told much later was available. After I correctly applied the primer, that was white I opened the cans of coating to find out they were white as well!! When I took the cans back to the store the salesman said it would take weeks to order the correct product and I didn't have the time to wait weeks as the house was listed for sale. The manager was a complete jerk! He said that the salesman that handled this is his SENIOR guy and that it can't be his fault and that he wanted ME to take some ownership of this!! Excuse me? Then he offered a minimal discount before pushing me out the door. The cement coating was tinted a hideous pinky-beige,+ the patio is a disaster. Even when I asked the salesman to darken the color he said, No can't do that. I will never ever set foot in another Home Hardware as long as I live and will tell all my friends + family the same.

Great prices on things you need for your home and driveway. We have not seen a lot of winter yet but there is always ice around the yard and home hardware has a great price on salt. I picked up 1 bag and pre ordered 4 or 5 more for me and my church in horsefly bc.

It had been 3 years since I bought my air conditioner from this store in Williams lake. I now live in kelowna.
I lost my receipt and my A/C stopped blowing cold air but still blew general air. Frank told me its good for warranty up to 5 years! That blew my mind.

I also told Frank that I didn't have my reciept or any paperwork but had my SKU number and model number still on a/c unit itself. He was very quick figure out whay he would need to do in order to find my receipt and purchase. He punched my SKU into the system and retrieved all my information for warranty that I would need.

This one individual went a mile and a half out of his way and deserves a nice raise for that, as it's probably not his first or last time.

Home Hardware clearly benefits from your hard work, drive and willingness to help people and get the job done as professionally as possible, you really went over the top to help me.
GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE RIGHT AWAY!!! I have yet to have that good of help ANYWHERE. Good help is hard to find especially in 2020. Make sure it's noticed. Thanks again Frank, you rock bud

The staff have always been very helpful! The cashier's don't tend to be too cheerful, but the floor sales staff are!
