From the time I entered the double doors until I left for home took 56 minutes! This is the most outstanding service I have EVER received in a long life of hospital ER visits. Dr. Lee was so kind helpful professional I wish she was accepting new patients I'd be first in line. Thank you to the Triage gals as well, this was very organized and pleasant with both people that I interacted with.

Due to the mismanagement surrounding the forced closure of the exceptional Minden Emergency Department, and a lack of substantial planning on how consolidation into the Haliburton Emergency Department will occur, the CEO and Board of Directors of Haliburton Highlands Health Services has not acted in the best interests of the community they serve, and must resign immediately. The healthcare of thousands is at risk due to this forced consolidation. Note, this review does not reflect the excellent medical staff at either location, but is a direct statement only towards the CEO and Board of Directors.

They were awesome! I had the misfortune to need the emergency department. I alway went to Minden so I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was kind, friendly, efficient, caring and very, very professional. Through the entire time I was there I felt like I was in good hands and that everyone actually cared. I was even called the following evening and asked to return to discuss some results and plan the next course of action.

Minimum 6-8 hour wait time is not okay. Especially when many can NOT drive at night, have medical conditions and so much more. Having only one hospital in the area during cottage season is making haliburton far too full for capacity leaving the staff unable to properly manage the over flow!

I went to the hospital after a fall in November. The care was excellent. I did have to wait quite a while before I saw a physician. The staff were all careful and considerate, and the doctor's care was outstanding.

Came on Xmas eve with problem with extreme cold not going away and it's way to late for someone to get me at first I was a little bit upset I felt like the doctor didn't want to help but I think he might have just been stressed but they gave me a blanket and a pillow and a little quiet room to sleep in till the morning and gave me snacks and a drink very friendly staff and they made my Xmas eve a little bit better I'm just worried about the possible nerve damage in a not so nice place thank you guys for makeing sure I was safe and secure and not put me out in the cold
